AEGAKS-113-MGr "Angler"
In an alternate existance, the Great Fog War never occured, and mankind proceeded to eliminate themselves by more conventional methods.
About this creation
This is not a part of the Project AEGAKS: Spearpoint story arc. It's just a fun project that I've worked on.

Since the development of the fearsome weapon system called the AEGAKS, warfare has been completely transfromed. Success on the battle now depends on who can field the most and best AEGAKS units available.

The Angler is the latest in amphibious combat mecha. Equiped with three high performance propeller drives, the Angler is faster than most submarine attack craft. These versatile units, produced and maintained by the Pacific Union's vast military machine, can fight just as well on land and at sea.

Seen here, in Aquatic mode, the Angler's pauldrons foldout a bit, giving the two propeller drives a better position for cruising underwater. For excelling manueverablity, the arms turn and provide the directional thrust.

The foreward surfaces are sleek and direct the water around the Angler. The darker color scheme makes the Angler harder to see in deeper depths. This is essentially as one of the major uses for the Angler is sub-hunting.

A rear view of the Angler.

And now to the weapons. First up is the Sava Blade. This bladed weapon is part axe, part scythe, and all attitude. The razor sharp edges are perfect for slicing ship hulls and sinking enemy units.

This was originally going to be an axe, but then it became a scythe. I wasn't happy with either so I combined the two. This is the final product.

In addition to other weapons that are standard to all the AEGAKS units, the Angler is specially designed to carry Ship-Killer class torpedo launchers. Each launcher has one torpedo to launch, strong enough to sink the largest battleships.

Too large for using against enemy units, Ship-Killers are suited for use in one of the Angler's primary missions, sub-hunting.

It is important to note that this weapon is not rated for use outside of the water, and should not be equipped unless no other option is available.

The Angler completely equipped for undersea battle. While most often equipped with two torpedos, this particular Angler is equipped also with a Sava Blade.

As with all AEGAKS, even in this universe, the Pilot Block and powercell are ejectable, as is the head unit. The main propeller drive is integrated into the powercell.

A better view of the weapons.

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Just another random build from the thinktank. I really need to stop overdosing on Liquid Imagination. It gives me such a headache.

Oh well, time for the customary comparison shot.

I did not consider this particular alternate storyline, so it's almost completely fresh ground.

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix Nice color scheme on this, and cool weapons ideas. When I saw that this was an amphibious design, I was immediately reminded of this: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/GN-002/DG014_Gundam_Dynames_Torpedo In any case, thanks for your comment on my B-Type mk 5. I don't often get asked technical questions about my MOCs, and its always a pleasure to delve into the internal workings of my designs.
Ah, I see. Well, that's the first time that I've seen that configuration. How interesting. I make a habit of thinking of things in technical terms. It helps me when I design, and it was a very interesting design that you put forth.

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo Dude, this is amazing. The colors (poor old Solice...), the scythe and the propellors are just great. About the story, it can fit in the Spearpoint timeline. Below the fog, the oceans have risen and many cities went underwater. In the base of Mt. Fuji, a large city where the AEGAKS project was first researched and developed was flooded when Suruga Bay overflowed. The robots found the city and tried to retrieve vital informations and blueprints of AEGAKS projects from the main computer. When Keiken realized it, he ordered the machanics to create a subaquatic unit to counter the robots and to retrieve the ancient data. Within the main facility where the prototypes were developed and tested, the Angler pilots found a lot of advanced frames, armors, weapons and blueprints that could be used to fight the robots. NOTE: These prototypes are from before the war using advanced technology. After the war, the technology was still advanced, but the resources were scarce. This is just an idea, I hope you liked it.
That is a good idea, but I have my doubts. The first AEGAKS, Little Blue was built using technology from before the war, what little the humans had been able to save. The mecha used before the war would not have looked like AEGAKS. The survivors had managed to save a small handful of power loaders and other small equipment in fleeing the fog, but nothing big was taken in favor of getting survivors out. Where as I like your scenario, and I think I'd like to include, the pre- Fog War mecha would've looked very different. In fact, I think that Rai's APB style would be a bit closer to them. Because the Angler is strictly an M Frame, I don't think it'd fit very well.

Quoting Parrington Levens just can't believe how you make these transform as such, oh and that weapon is so cool!
Hey, thanks, but it's not all that hard. It's really just reorienting the unit and a few folding parts really. And yes, the weapon turned out far better than I could've hoped. Thanks for the feedback!

Quoting Mike C I like the way you brought the fight to the water; great looking mech. The colors are perfect for an amphibious mech. The Sava Blade looks great. I like how you incorporated the axe and sickle idea into one. Excellent build.
Thanks for the feedback! I always heard, why have two, when you can have two in one! I liked the scythe, and the axe was ok, but I was pleased with the combination, and I'm glad you liked it too.

Quoting Shadowa Heartfelt This new AEGAKS theme sounds more realistic than the other. Sorry to say. But I love the Scythe/Axe. Where do you buy all the weapons?
The way I look at it, any AEGAKS that I build that doesn't fall within my original concept is an alternate. Among them are the 104, 109 and 111. Each one is a sampling from a different alternate universe.

Quoting crash 703 Awesome! The alternate universe thing is cool. But wouldn't this have been invented in the normal AEGAKS universe?
Yes and no. Since most of the Earth's surface is covered in fog, they never got around to aquatic AEGAKS because you had to get through the fog to get to the water. The alternate universe, the Fog War never happened, with the nations managing to not pull the triggers to their doomsday devices and instead duking it out with troops, armor and aircraft. In this alternate universe, AEGAKS were also developed with the same concept.
