Today Squad 17 and Ladder 14 got a call for a report of smoke in a 4 story building.

But 3 blocks from Station 2, Ladder 14 had to make a emergency stop for a car crossing the red light.

The truck behind the Ladder couldn't stop in time and rammed the backside of the rig.

Luckily there where no injuries to the fire crew or the truckdriver.

Ladder 13 responded to the smoke report, but it was a toaster that got jammed and started smoking.

Engine 16 came on scene for cleanup, while the SVPD and the FD machanics checked the trucks, the fuel truck could drive to a garage nearby on its own power, but the Ladders rear most axle was damaged an the wheels where blocked, so it was towed to the motorpool, there it will be transported to Pierce for repairs.

Reserve ladder 1 will fill in for ladder 14 till it comes back.
