Animal show at the Lego Festijn 2012 in Goes. Watch the Dutch and African species. Between our own creations, you also will discover great Lego sets. Look at our robot animals, they move like real ones!
About this creation
This animal show consist out of different displays, each with another topic:

Dutch Pasture

A typical Dutch landscape with sheep and swans. Created in Belville scale (1:25). The tree in the middle is from the Medieval market village (Lego set 10193).

A country girl visits her sheep together with her dog.

A naughty lam is eating poppy flowers (left photo). The Mute swans (Cygnus olor) are desperately in love and stick together for the rest of their life (right).

Dutch Pool

A Red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) enters a pool to drink some water. This display is made in true scale (1:1). For more info, see Red squirrel.

The green frog (set 7606) and the orange dragon fly (set 4349) are designed by Lego.
In the field, between the clovers, you can see some cute snails (right photo). They are from The Ultimate Lego Book.

African Savanne

Elephants and ostrich standing in the Ambosell natural park in Kenya. Display designed in scale 1:25.

Female elephant (Loxodonta africana Africana) eating leaf from an acacia tree, while her calf is waiting to get milk (left photo). For more info, see Elephant family.
The Ostrich (Struthio camelus) is the largest bird in the world. He can run up to 70 kilometer per hour! These parents are waiting patiently, there chicken is just hatching itself out of its egg (right photo).

African Battle

Most of the time they leave one another alone. But sometimes this happens: An impressive fight between a lion and a crocodile!

The male lion (Phanthera leo) is made from the fantastic Wild hunters Lego set (4884). The crocodile (Crocodylidae) belongs to the Ferocious creatures set (5868).

The photo on the right shows the play field for the moving animals.

The duck family and the bad rat

The ducks and the rat look and behave like real animals. They are made in true scale (1:1). Watch the video to see what happens.

The White Duck

Discover how it works, see White Duck.

The Little Ducks
These chickens are remote controlled and made with Lego Power Functions.

For details, see Little Ducks.

The Brown Rat

Quoting Austin Durick cool but why dont you use minifigures
Hi Austin, Thanks for your comment! We like to build in different styles and sizes. So we don't always use minifigures. However the "Modern farm" has lots of minifigures.

Excellent stuff! Bit by bit: When I saw the Belville Girl and the Sheep I first thought of "Mary had a little lamb..." and the swans reminded me of "the Ugly Duckling"! But the exhibit wasn't done! Thank you for including the film clip so we could enjoy the robotic action of the Duck, Chicks and Rat! Super or as they say in Hollywood a ***** (5 Star Rating) The Squirrel was a special treat - I love to watch and photograph them! They have a charm about them. A deceased American painter John Ross loved them and on some of his shows he painted with a baby squirrel in his shirt pocket! But being a LEO I loved the lion/aligator fight scene you were very creative with LEGO Creator in this creation, that's what these bricks are for to create! I am naming you one of my favorites! And to paraphrase a famous expression: "The FAMILY that builds together stays togeher!" Just like our LEGO Bricks!

Quoting Stephen Abbott Great generalization of your previous MOCs and great new additions as well! I love the swans best of all. Excellent work and photography as always.
Hi Stephen, Thankx! About the swan: We thougth that it would be nice to make some affordable MOC's on top of all the expensive (NXT) creations. That's how the swan and the sheep were born. By the way they will be fore sale during Brick Mania in Belgium .... :)
