Although the former AIFV was tried and true in principal and design, it lacked the capabilities needed for future engagements across the globe. To make up for that fact, VDS designed and produced the AIFV Mk.II. Featuring more efficient design efforts in the form of composite armor, specialized forward geometries, more compact armaments, five-man dismount capacity, and updated sensory, the Mk.II is capable of tackling most obstacles reported by contemporary militants. In reference to the armament, the weapon of choice is the updated 30mm cannon featuring a rotary magazine feed with a 7.62 LMG serving as the secondary small arm. In terms of defense, the composite armor in coordination with the select bits of ERA and a APS module atop the turret make for a three-sixty interception zone able to defend against most ATGMs and weapons up to the 25mm-40mm [depending on what area is struck on the vehicle] calibre. All-in-all, this newer model is able to dish out and receive heavy fire while keeping the boots nearby in good hands.
