Meet Bob and the Chimps, the foremost punk band of the 2000s; learn the history of the band that you ALWAYS hear on the radio. Enjoy.
About this creation
Bob, a monkey handler who was bored at his job at the zoo, often dreamed of making it big with a punk rock band of his own. However, since he worked with chimpanzees all the time, he had no friends, and knew no one with musical talent. Bob decided to team the Chimps that he worked with to play instruments, scored a few gigs, and rode his way to stardom. The rest, is history.

Meet the band. We’ve got Phil as lead singer (Mohawk), Frank on Bass Guitar, Jon on Maracas, Clyde on electric guitar, and our favorite zoo worker, Bob on drums. This is the set of a music video shoot for the hit single ‘Bananas Growing on Skyscrapers’. With a record 30 songs at the top of the charts, Bob and The Chimps are no doubt, one of the greatest punk rock bands around.

Clyde on electric guitar, next to his best friend Jon on maracas.

Bob playing drums.

Frank on Bass.

Some awesome guitar smashing.

This is really the centerpiece of the whole MOC, the drumset. I made it as a gift to a drummer I know.

Those green things are cymbals if you didn’t notice.

Another cymbal stand. Aside from the brown piece, this one is my favorite.

Bass Drum and Mounted Toms.

Bass pedal. Simple, but neat.

Microscale city for the background.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BAND?
After this shoot, the band went on for several weeks on tour, but eventually broke up due to an estrangement between Bob and Phil. Phil wanted some of the money the rest of the band earned from selling T-Shirts, and Bob thought that the rest of the band were just animals, and didn’t need any money in the first place. It eventually led to Phil and Frank storming out, and Clyde and Jon professing a desire to leave the band also. After that, they all went their separate ways, Bob going back to his old job, Phil eventually OD-ing on bananas; Frank became an elementary school music teacher. Clyde and Jon formed their own band called Go Bananas! and they are currently working their way up to semi-fame.

4th Wall
So I made this drumset, looked at it and realized how boring it would be to take pictures of it on its own, so I had to throw something together. It’s actually set in a WIP of mine, a news studio, for Frank, everyone’s favorite newscaster. Thanks for viewing

‘Til next time,
-A Monkey

Quoting Surduk Vergl Great drumset! I especialy like the bass pedal and futuristic feel that cymbals make. The story made me laugh, but the lack of guitar amps made me sad..also you should finish back wall ;) Anyhow, excellent idea and story!
AMPS! I knew I forgot something...

Quoting A Monkey The wheels won't stay up on their own do they? You have to use something to hold them in place. In my opinion, its not very useful.
yes, they do, you just clip them in nicely.
