AEGAKS prototype
here´s my attempt at making an AEGAKS. it's still a prototype, i still need to add some details to the back and change some colors. i dont have many exo force pieces (i only have two small mechas, the 8101)so the articulations are not as i wanted them to be and i still want to change the legs. credits to Rabid Goldfish for the inspiration and tutorials, and i hope to have it ready soon:)

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/halo/images/d/d9/HonorGuard01.jpg A ref. for a possible weapon look-a-like? going off the "Halo Elite" head look haha. Good luck. Maybe the week after next during my "Belated spring break", I can re-visit Jason's AEGAKS theme.

What a great prototype you have here! The hands may not be very functional, but are undoubtely amazing! Keep the good work and soon you'll be a very skilled AEGAKS builder.

Quoting Rabid Goldfish Very nice prototype. I have to agree with Shadowa, it does have a Halo Elite feel to it. You might try making the feet bigger. A lot of people don't realize, but the size of the feet has a lot to do with functionality. Large feet are more stable and can support more weight, but are slower to move, where as small feet are lighter, faster, but can't support as much weight well. Add some polish, and some color changes and you've got a great model. Since the hands wouldn't exactly be suited for weapons, you should mount some above the wrist. That would make it a brawler type. All said, Great work! ^Blub^
well, about the hands, i've found a "workaround"... the guns are held in place by studs :) (there goes the realism). anyway, i'll see if theres anything i can do about them. Thanks :)

That's good, ball joint knees should significantly reduce any posability problems caused by the hips.

Quoting Neil Dynamo Nice mech you've got here. It definetly needs some polish but the concept is really good, I especially like the hands, they look like they're more suited to grappling with other mechs than holding weapons though. As for other suggestions the knees are good and the elbow joints are excellent (They're my favourite kind really) but that style of hip joints will limit the legs side-to-side pivot ability, especially since the knees have no side to side; this will reduce posability significantly. Also, I used a similar joint you have at the waist on my Warhawk-II, if you want it to be able to pivot from side to side, add a couple of rotating pin-and-socket bricks that the click hinges can attach to, that way it can rotate side to side as well.
thanks mate, good idea for the torso i havent thought about that :) as for the knees i´ve already fixed them and used ball joints

I forgot to mention, I look forwards to seeing whatever you do with those pins on the back. Back-mounted equipment is always fun, just be careful about making it too heavy, because of the design of AEGAKS it can cause them to topple over.

Quoting Shadowa Heartfelt I think this looks pretty good for a prototype. And as I've had personal experience with brick limitations, I understand your problem. As for some tips, the hands could use a single stud to rotate the thumb to make a "grabbing" hand so that this AEGAKS can hold some weapons. As for the joints, those hinges are a pain sometimes. Try Bricklink to get more ball and cap or exo-force joints. (cheap and LOTS of pieces). Other than that, I think you could add some kind of red thrusters on the legs or wheels or something to add some red to the lower half. (As a side note, the head reminds me of a Halo Elite haha) Great job.
thanks alot mate, i'll try to follow your advice the best i can:)
