BB-63, Mighty Mo, the location of WWII's end, rendered in Measure 32 camouflage. An Iowa class battleship, she displaced over 45,000 tons, and measured 888x108 feet, and was armed with 3 Mark 7 triple 16 inch 50-caliber turrets and 10 Mark 12 dual 5 inch 38 caliber turrets.
About this creation
The fight that almost was, Yamato versus an Iowa class, at the San Benardino Strait. On the the absence of these ships and the subsequent mauling of escort carriers and mismatched battle of the Japanese Center Force fighting the Taffy 3 escort group, Admiral Nimitz was misquoted as saying, "Where is, repeat where is Task Force 34? The world wonders." His actual message did not include "the world wonders", as it was just extra "padding" of the kind included before and after the message to confuse Japanese intelligence forces trying to decode the messages, but it made so much sense as an insult to TF34's commander, Admiral Halsey, that his secretary failed to remove it before he passed it to his commander.

Thank you! A question for Lego purists- would that bent three stud stick with a peg that I used for the crane count as a modified or salvaged piece if it was bent by accident several months before I built the model?

Just excellent! I think that it can't get much better in a scale like this. Come on, even the old Airfix 1:1200 plastic models appear less detailed... Congrats! |

Nice minifig scale ship!
:-P It's more of a mini scale than minifig scale. Like 1/24th of minifig scale.

Simple, but remarkably effective. Reminds me of the old Triange brand's naval ships. Good work. |

Nice little ship. I think the best pic. is the one of the whole flotilla. You´re ships look amazing together.
Thank you... when you have a bad camera and small creations of the same scale and style, zooming out and then filling the empty space with additional ships creates a nice effect to distract from their simplicity and fuzziness. JK, thanks. |

Really good! It looks very acurate to what the real ship looked like. I normaly would do a lagthy comment on all the cool parts of this MOC but I'm sort of lacking the inspiration today, sorry. |
