This is just a trial of my new light tent and to let people know I am still around.
About this creation

I haven't been around the pages much lately, since the MocAthalon and I apologise. This is just a small build I made to test out my new light tent I got for my birthday.

A familiar friend and foe return to our screens...

Dog Kat has found a gorgeous new outfit! I will be giving her her new comic series some time soon.

Leda-Face also has found a gorgeous new outfit!!!

Edit: I forgot to mention the source of this cobblestone style footpath. I borrowed it from The Legohaulic's Little Miss Muffet moc, from the Nursery Rhyme category of the MocAthalon. His is cooler though, as it uses 1x1 tiles instead of 1x2... my 1x1s are all currently used up elsewhere.

Yes, this pic is out of focus. I couldn't be bothered attaching my camera to my tripod for this shoot. Lazy I know. If this was an entry into the MocAthalon, I would have got mad and said this is just not good enough! Haha, I'm tired and overworked and sick and I kinda just held the camera in one hand and the vig in another, and my hands are shakey but this actually is my favourite pic. Something about the haziness of it attracts me... not sure why, just like it.
I will be back with real builds and comics etc soon, I have a few things going on at the moment which have been distracting me but besides my secret build I have spent the last few months on for Brickworld (pics to come in June) I have a few very awesome projects on my to do list, and a large Bricklink order just arrived to help with one of them. I have been enjoying taking a little extra time to build (well, except for this one) so I can create things with a bit more skill and detail, as I have been doing with my BW build, so you may find my future builds will be fewer and far between compared to my previous year on MOCpages. See you all again real soon!

if you are walking down a street, and suddenly here a something pure behind you, then if its a cat women there have two katanas at her back, and a bat dice in her hand, and haves a cat mask on, theres nothing to worry about..... but if you hear a WUUUUHAAAAAHAAHAAAAA then its bad, for then a man without a head is chasing you. great work i love your kitty cat the most, and your scene is pretty good to |

Some nice shots Leda. How does the light tent work? Does it simply diffuse the light allowing for less obvious shadows?
Yes, and it creates a pure white background, provided it is lit well enough. |

The light tent was a good present -- maybe I should get one too. (Nah) The bignette looks great, but the new outfits are pure awesome! I guess I'll have to try my handing at building something again soon myself, but as for you, considering EVERYTHING you've been dealing with the fact you've built anything at all is a good sign for the future. And that was the worst run-on sentence I've ever written.
Haha, actually I've seen worse. Thanks Dennis. |

What a nice B-day present you got there! Maybe one day I'll invest in something like that... maybe. I liked that last shot too, something about the "out of focus" that gives it a real world feel maybe... Yeah, that's probably it. Can't wait to see the final shots of the BW build (taken in your new light tent)! ~ Chris. |

Kit-Kat (The kitten) has adapted to her new home extremely well. She loves being near the computer and watching the screen as I type. She has been slowly exploring the house. She is a cautious kitty, but is getting better. She loves being around us, but those claws are sharp! She and Avery aren't the best of friends, but they normally keep their distance. They all recently went to the vets and are completely healthy and happy.
That's excellent news Matthew. Very pleased to hear Kit Kat (great name by the way) is doing well and adjusting. All the best with your collection of animals! |

Nice to see you still building, Leda! I was starting to get worried you fell off the planet. Anyway, I'm not familiar with a light tent, but it looks like something I could use. I've been having alot of trouble getting my pics bright enough. Anyway, love the new costumes and can't wait for more:) |

We all tend to go in cycles of building intensity, so don't feel bad about not a lot of posting lately. That just means you're gearing up for the next round of creativity - which, I for one, am looking forward to! Meanwhile, the light tent should really come in handy for presentation quality. |

A light tent always pays off. I'd try to add a little more light or adjust the levels a bit. And this sweet little vig is very ... well ... sweet.
Yes, I need to take some real time and experiment with it. Def need to buy some more lamps. All hints and advice very much welcome. I saw some very amazing presentations during the mocathalon and I want to get that professional look going too. |
