Yes, be a Transformers nut. Watch the movie endlessly. Transform them in your dreams. Buy the toys. Practice with the toys. Time yourself with the toys. Did I mention be a Transformers nut? Yes. I've put that project in my file labeled, "Someday, when I'm rich and famous and can afford massive Bricklink orders of dark blue and lots of chromed bricks." Er, yes. I'm sure I don't have to explain scale to you, though. :) Yes, there are lots of little proportional issues I ran into throughout the project. The final result is a mix of compromises. Given a second chance, I would see if there were any way to lengthen all the main body parts, since he appears a bit squashed/stocky to me. You deserve it. You said it! My wife has been really good to me, letting the baby spit up on her while I'm brickin' it. Thanks, honey!

wow, a real transformer! amazing job

at a distance I wasn't sure I liked the head design, it felt a little squashed up, but up close you can really see the detail. Overall, it's pretty good, I always give 5 stars to transformers that ACTUALLY TRANSFORM without cheating, and this one appears to do just that. If I was to knock it at all, it would be that the robot mode proportions seem slightly off, compared to the reference picture the upper body is a little short compared to the length of the legs. That said to achieve the transformation the proportions work and I'd be proud to produce something half as good as this.
