Dash , A Custom Legoformer
My first Legoformer from my twisted imagination that is completely my own character design!
About this creation
BIO

Designation: DASH

Function: Autobot Courier / Scout

From the Datatracks of Boyzwiththemosttoyz: Dash is almost fresh off the assembly line. He came on line just before Optimus Primeís historic mission to find new sources of energon for our continued battle against the tyranny of the Decepticons. Driven to join the Autobots by the destruction of his home colony, he is quick to jump headstrong into battle. Heís just a kid, small in stature but what he lacks in size and battlefield experience is more than made up with by his ambition and super-speed! Idolizing Optimus Prime and awaiting his hopeful return, Dash assists the Autobots of the Cybertron resistance against Shockwave and his minions! Besides his super-speed, which he can access in both vehicle and robot mode, Dash is armed with a rapid pulse blaster, ideal for close quarters hit and run combat. Optimus Prime has been gone for a long time, and this new generation of Autobots will have to lead the push towards a free Cybertron before it slips into a dark age. I only hope the tyranny of the evil Shockwave can be thwarted without the Matrix of leadership, as it feels as if our darkest hour will soon be upon us.

Beyond the backstory: Dash is my first legoformer which is a character from my own mixed up imagination and not based on any previous Transformers character. He was designed to incorporate lesson learned over designing many of my past projects. Small and compact he has non-traditional legs / feet and uses both bionicle/ technic and traditional Lego elements. I thought I would start designing my own characters from the era after the departure of Optimus Prime and the original gang on their doomed flight aboard the Ark. This is the first of what I hope will be many characters of my own storylines to come! Donít worry though my main focus will still be immortalizing G1 characters with Lego bricks!

Never thought that such a tall and gaunt robot could transform in such compact vehicle! Excellent! And btw I think he looks a bit TFA-ish. =)

interesting conicidence - my inspiration came from hot rod, my WFC Bumblebee and My Arcee models - if you look close you can see elements from each in Dash!

he is AWESOME. I mean, I would totally believe you if you said he was in a comic as just a background autobot or something. though, in fairness, with most original character lego formers, I think, "would it be cheap enough for me to build an army of cannonfodder based on that model?" there's a serious lack of tf army builders.

Great stuff - this guy has loads of personality in robot mode, and I like the vehicle mode too! Well done for coming up with this, I'm not sure I'd know where to start building a completely original TF. He's obviously balances well in spite of the unconventional feet, so well done on that too!

you can flip the legs right around to have the thigh armour on the front but I think it looks better on the back of the legs!
Quoting Commando Charge This is awesome. I love the wheel-feet especially. The gun is nice and the head is perfectly designed for the type of 'former. Colors good too. I just think you should add some front armor to the legs if possible, it makes them look quite out of place. And as Moodswim (sorta) said, it has a very Cybertronian look, specifically War for Cybertron.

my intent was for the legs to be non-conventional! Glad you like it (except the knees)!
Quoting haran banjo Wonderful! Very original and well done, the only thing I dislike are the knees that makes your legs very "strange"

Dude, YES! I love your G1 creations, but it's nice to see you designing your own characters. I love the leg/feet design and the vehicle mode definately has that Cybertronian look to it. Can't wait for more!

Dash looks great. I really like the use of parts on this build. The none tradition legs are a really nice touch. I really like the look of the vehicle mode, Dash really does look like a mover and a shaker. As always excellent work, Look forward to some more customs.
