This really reminds me of the old-crew Star Trek movies. It seems like a landing party should beam-in at any time. The scene is really immersive and sort of pushes the eye around. Stop pushing my eyes around man! I can't wait to see what you build for the MOC O's.

Speaking of scale, thats an awful lot of white wall panels! Love the towers overlooking the austere, almost sterile atmosphere of the ... sales floor/ commissioning area for the squidbots (or so i'm guessing). The colour combos with the lighting make it feel like a cross between a cloning facility and a classy showroom for luxury electronics. Great job!

Thanks guys. I totally understand what you are saying here about the pics. I am pretty picky about what I show and don't. If I think it is unflattering, shows background, etc., I won't post it. Its hard not to just spew pictures onto the interwebs, but I feel it is important to show a completed piece the way I saw it in my head. ...and Yuri, about the title. There is a backstory to this, but YOU control the action my friend!

Thank you! And yes, it is this color intentionally. The construction is mostly white with various tones of blue details. Then carefully lit, photographed and edited. As for the figs, thanks again! Please feel free to borrow anything here. Its LEGO, its meant to inspire. Go build great things!

Dude this is absolutely amazing! But, did you white it out on purpose (the lighting). And I really like the squids with the cargo shirts and Han Solo pants that really works (I might have to borrow it).

The lighting really makes the model pop, great work as always Dave. They say it's the Year of the Squidman, and you are proving them right. The model seems about 5 times large than it is.

How very cool. Like a look into the society and civilization of an alien(squid) lifeform. I particularly like the guards/soldiers with the tridents. And the robot look very neat. ^Blub^

Excellent way to create a sense of massive scale in that first shot. The brightness reminds me of the Eye of Jupiter episode of BSG...anyway. Everything seems to glow, especially those shields. And the Texan Squid is great. Big Butter and Egg Man, I bet. And who would have ever thought of Squid Cylons? Impressive!

Were you looking for modern technology or other worldly technology when you made this?

Okay, two things...LOVE the pics, and how you kind of blew out the lighting on the whole thing. Really gives it an other-wordly feel - nice touch! And two, a squiddy wearing...what...is that a cowboy hat?...yeah. Win.
