Heavy Duty Truck from the 30's
I like adventurers, Indiana Jones and vehicles from the 30's. This is a "big" truck designed for expeditions and heavy supply. Feel no fear and go through the most dangerous deserts, the darkest jungles with this strong vehicle.
About this creation

I wanted to build a truck like the one in the Indy's set. I gathered pieces and started a MOC inspired by it.
But... It was so far from what I expected, specially concerning the size. I mean a truck, even in the 30's is a big thing! So I made it big with 2 real front seats.

Yes, there's a horse behind! ^^ Just to prove the room left + 6 minifigs can take place on the benches.

I wanted to add a machine gun for defense of the passengers and drivers. Sorry for the purists (I know, I already wrote that in another MOC) but those little "brickarms" bring another look.

The gunner can seat next to the driver and I'm satisfied of "the trick".
The front of the truck gave me some hard time. The first attempt was a real success (in the opinion of my girlfriend and his kids) BUT... BUT it was so much sophisticated compared to the others "old" cars!
So I had to make an old fashion front. Much less "beautiful" but much more coherent with the 30's. Too bad!!

The trailer. It was designed with the truck to increase the size and the feeling of strength of the model. I like the way it came finally and did not modify it much.

Here is the trick... Thanks the hinges!

Yes, it's a female driver. Expeditions are NOT a matter of sex but a matter of guts (Well, I mean... errr!?!...). Whatever!! I wanted a nice young woman to drive. When you watch the "Mummy" trilogy, you are convinced by women powers... lol

The full length model.

Plus 2 cars taken from adventurers sets edited in the late 90's. I love those little cars.
All have been upgraded and modified and there are really great!! Thanks Lego designers!

These two always make me laugh: they had to come together!

The bad guys! A good expedition always come with them...

... and look at those Two! Same as above: great face design!

Overview pics of my collection. All the little cars are 10 years old or plus. I always keep my sets away from dust and sunlight... The reason why they are so "cleaned".
Now I have to build a dio with all those vehicles... Lot of work coming up!

That's all, folks! Thanks for watching! Enjoy and comment.

Quoting Jesse Long Yeah, those LEGO Indiana Jones and Adventurers sets would mesh really well with the new Pharoah's Curse (or whatever it's called) LEGO sets that they have out now and, truth be told, this wouldn't be a bad addition to those sets, too.
I quite agree with you, the adventurers sets were much more inventive and supplied at equal price. I regret the sets I did not purchase...

Quoting C. Alexander Clay Nice work! An Egyptian dio would be great!
Thank you!! Your proposition is recorded: I was going to build a jungle dio but I take your idea. It will be an egyptian theme!
