Since my current MOCing project is still WIP, I decide to upload something different... an overview about ZORKs past versions. And as an extra bonus, you'll get ZORKs story in my own crazy canon for the very first time!
About this creation
So yeah, I'll start with a bunch of pictures of ZORKs various versions, and after that, you'll find a chunk of text about ZORKs story and stuff.
As you might notice, the majority of the updates revolves around ZORKs shoulders, I tend to change them quite often.
Tiny update! ZORK got a theme!

Version 1
The very first ZORK (built in early 2008, if I remember correct) was obviously a mix of Axonn and Phantoka Kopaka. His wings weren't poseable back then. I attached them in a fixed position, like the wings of a airplane. However, since that limits his poseability (i.e. he wasn't able to lay on his back) I changed it with version 2.
You'll also notice on some later pictures that I used additional pieces for the leg support similiar to Axonn's.
Oh, and ZORK had in addition to his axe also a sword back then.
Version 2
While his shoulders and front weren't changed, ZORK got poseable wings with his second incarnation....
...and here you can see those updates. As you can see, the entire back was larger and due to the distance between the wing joints and ZORKs back, it looked more like some sort of jet pack than actual wings. However, he could store both his weapons away.
Version 3
New shoulders, new axe. Rest remains the same.
Version 4
I removed the leg support and the sword. In addition, his back was redone and the wing joints are now closer to ZORKs back (but I have no pictures of his back, sorry).
Version 5
Well... I have almost no pictures of version 5, and most of them look like this. And ironically, I'm not even sure anymore what I've exactly updated back then. Perhaps the wings again. Or the axe. I dunno. >_<
Version 6
With the release of Glatorian Legends Gelu, ZORK got eventually the mask he's wearing today, and he also got a new colour into his scheme, dark blue. The wings got shiny, and his axe was later redone (I have only blurry pics of the newer axe which isn't shown on this picture, though).
Version 7
Once again a new axe design (which went back to the roots, since it uses mostly Axonn's axe design), but the shoulders and the upper arms were also redone.
In case you hadn't noticed, ZORKs 7th version was the first version of him I uploaded on MOCpages. Here is the link to his entry.
Version 8.4
New hands, modified axe, greatly improved axe holder, all new legs and arms and more white - yeah, this is the ZORK we all recognize. I must once again say how awesome the new HF joints are.
For more pictures of him, check his entry on MOCpages!
Version 8.5 - The current Version!
Because there's nothing which makes more clear that you're a totally awesome and badass warrior than large bulky shoulders.
For more pictures of him, look here.

Stars ZORK
This little guy was kind of a fun built between version 7 and 8. For more pics check out his entry.
UPDATE: Cheesy Q (also known as Nowhereman) left MOCpages for reasons I don't know about. Since he also deleted his profile, all of his MOCs are gone as well.
Given that I always appreciated Nowhereman's building style (he managed to incorporate regular LEGO bricks into his MOCs for some clever designs) I'm very sad to learn that he left. The fact that I have no other way to contact him makes that even worse.
If anyone out there knows what he's doing nowadays, I'd appreciate it if you let me know it.
Cheesy Q's version of ZORK
After I created his Self-MOC (which was the first Self-MOC of someone else I built, btw), Cheesy Q also created a version of ZORK, which is a very neat variation of the original. Despite the differences, you can clearly tell he's ZORK, that's what I like so much about him - it's almost like looking at ZORK from a complete different angle.
NoWhereMan's (formerly known as Cheesy Q)) revamped version of ZORK
Quite new and really, really awesome is Cheesy's revamp of ZORK. It neatly combines ZORKs bulky arms and brute axe with a sleek design, and the amount of greeble on his armour is just gorgeous.
So, finally, as promised, the chunk of text a.k.a. as ZORKs story.
ZORK Gender: Male Species: Etherical being Race: Astral Knight Occupation: Astral Knight, sometimes freelance adventurer Weapon: An axe Element: None Alignment: Neutral good
Many millenia ago ZORK became a member of the Astral Knights, a group of immortal beings whose souls are able to return from the afterworld by materialising a physical body with the power of their own will. They use this ability to wander through the ages and aid other creatures when they're threatened by great dangers, like catastrophes or demonic creatures. While Astral Knights don't age and don't need food, water or air, their physical bodies can indeed be destroyed, which forces them to return to the afterworld and start to generate a new body, which takes at least several centuries, but usually even longer. ZORK however isn't afraid to sacrifice his body whenever it is necessary for the sake of the universe (or at least, of a galaxy).
Nobody actually knows what life ZORK lived before he became an Astral Knight, and usually he doesn't speak about his past life. He cares a lot about every living being and will always protect those who can't help themselves. While he do seems to enjoy a "good fight", he doesn't kill his opponents unless he has no other choice (except for mindless creatures like robots or undead). Rumors had been told that he uses a softer, non-lethal version of his axe when he participates in competitive fights or tournaments, but he never carries any other weapon than his axe he also uses in real combat.
If ZORK isn't fighting or adventuring, he likes to travel across the universe and enjoys several leisure activities, like movies, books or video games.
So yeah, so much about ZORK. I hope you enjoyed that stuff.
Quoting Cheesy Q
sorry, I just needed an excuse to say over 9000.
Ah, no problem. Besides, I also mentioned something about Vegeta's infamous quote when I commented V4 of Cheesy. And hey, I myself use EVERY opportunity to quote Zero's "WHATAMIFIGHTINGFOR!" from X4, so yeah...

Vageta, what does the scouter say about how many forms of ZORK there were? OVER 9000!

Nice bio! I must say, I really liked the shoulders of version 5 or 6. It looks like you kind of went from all Bionicle to mostly HF. If you make another version, you should definitely incorporate a lot more Bionicle to give ZORK a fuller appearance.
I also liked the shoulders of Version 5/6 a lot, but I wanted to give ZORK a sleeker, more dynamic appearance, so I changed them with version 7 (which also worked well with the spikes of his helmet). Since I like the new HF-limbs and armour plates I'll most likely won't return to the Bionicle pieces, and as things stand the only thing I'd might update some day would be his shoulders, but only if LEGO releases another piece that could be attached to the HF 2.0-armour.
