Rescue 2 is a 2011 Kenworth T800 with a Century 75-Ton rotator. It runs as a heavy rescue for major MVAs, MVAs involving large vehicles or trucks, collapses, high and low-angle rope rescues, recoveries, and more. It features four outriggers, four large toolboxes, one small toolbox in the officer-side steps, a bumper toolbox, a crew cab, a Caterpillar C16 Diesel engine, a Q siren, Grover Stuttertone air horns, and bumper marker lights. The Century 1075 rotator boom extends to 45', giving this unit a wide range of positions to operate from. Rescue 2 also operates with WRTF-1 on major incidents. It is available on Mutual Aide to all communities. The name comes from my mind.
At long last, she has arrived! After waiting nearly six months for the money, Rescue 2 has made its way to the department! She is the pride of the fleet, and the first Kenworth of many! Next on the list of Kenworths is a twin T800 chassis with a Pierce dryside tanker body. Enjoy the photos of Rescue 2, she'll be running on incidents before you know it!
