The Model 700 series of firearms are bolt-action rifles manufactured by Remington Arms since 1962. All are based on the same centerfire bolt action. The Model 700 is available in a great number of different stock, barrel and caliber configurations. The Remington 700 action is designed for mass production. Despite its cost-effective production methods, it is very strong and reliable, and has a large worldwide following.

About this creation

This is my R700 Mcrees Tactical Weapon System. While the stock is a studs-on-top design, the receiver and barrel are studs-forward, allowing for the receiver to be field-stripped just like the real deal.

The bricklink barrel pieces finally came! i have enough for a 30 inch barrel, but until i find something to use for barrel strength (like a dowel) i'll leave it at 20 inches.

The stock is adjustable for length of pull in the same fashion that M4 carbine stocks are, using the same slide lever.

The rifle is built from two planes, both for strength and for the ability to take the rifle apart just like the real deal. Pulling a locking pin on the left side of the magazine well allows the assembly to be pulled up out of the stock.

These are two of the options for optics. just a basic riflescope and an Acog lookalike.

Thanks, Brix! The actual stock is supposed to be boxy (see here: http://www.mcreesprecision.net/sp_pr_t.htm ) but I agree with the barrel. I tried to make a heavier barrel than just 2x2 rounds, with my most. plentiful piece, the 2x4 grey brick. I didn't research it, its just what I know.

Great rifle! Nice research too. I really like the fact that you can take out the barrel and mag well. It looks cool in black too. It's a little on the boxy side, but otherwise great design!
