10197 Alternative model

Recently, I got another box of 10197 and decided to take a challenge of building a modular house only from the bricks from the set. Unfortunately, I couldn't do it without a great resemblance to the official set, so it's not completely my MOC but more a MOD.

About this creation

I kept the 10197's architecture style mostly because of the selection of bricks.

Back of the building is typical for modular houses. There are some windows, but it's mostly plain building without details. Also the greenery is unkept and wild.

I used the same elements for roofing, only the frogs were added for decorative purpose.

A comparison to the official Fire Brigade. Similarity is more than obvious. This could be a model C (as in Creator), mostly because of the leftover bricks.

House has 4 units and some furniture inside, although very little.

The ground floor has a small kitchen hidden under the stairs to the top floor.

In the first floor, there's a small couch and a shelf.

In the second floor is a bedroom and small table with lamp (not my design).

I understand your point, but I like to be on the clear side. Well, it's obvious how similar it is to the 10197. Give it a try with an extra set, I found it to be very challenging and enjoying.

I hate to see you put so much emphasis on who's design is who's. Everything has been done twice in Lego, period. THis is a great build, and I m considering doing it, as I have just bought the fire brigade, and the town hall, and I think 2 bell towers together might seem redundant. Very nice, I bookmarked the page. Chris

Thanks for the comment. I like to see it as a challenge to make more models out of one set. Afterall, that's what Lego is, right?
