Micro castle land
My first try at micro scale.
About this creation
For a Mocoff againstHroje Hadzet(spelling?)
I had not originally planned on this being microscale, but the tower turned out waaaay to small for minifigs.
So this is what you get. I kind of based it after strategy games, like Age of Empires. Red vs blue (not Halo).

First is a couple of pics of the red camp/town/outpost.

I like how the tilled feild turned out.

A skirmish is taking place here.

A shot of the blue keep. This is what started the whole build.

A blue lumber camp.

A water wheel and bridge.

And one more shot of the whole thing.

To Hroje, may the best moc win!

Thank you for both those links AA! I had no clue Keith had done that reveiw! And I love classic castle and am a frequent visitor to the sight. But I had somehow missed that great microscale how to. I will use all this new found info from CC and Keith in my next micro build!

This really works! Love the plowed field, I might use that idea... I've got a Hobbiton brewing that needs a potato patch :)

Quoting Doc. Jared McAwesome Very nice. A spelling error (field), but otherwise, quite well done. A skirmish though is an outdoor style paint ball match, or any other weapon match. No, I'm just kidding. Very nice. But skirmishes usually have weapons, or as I'm assuming here, is just a brawl. The build overall is nice, the river is calm, the trees add a nice effect, but.... the scale of red minis to the house.... they're about half the size of the house. Last time I checked, I had to be maybe a tenth the size of my house vertically to enter through the threshold. Very nice, other than that. The house could have been a bit bigger, but otherwise, your score: 8/10. :)
Thanks. The skirmishers are suposed to have weapons, but it looked really weird if I gave them a knife for a sword or something. And if you look at some strategy games like age of empires etc, (which I based this on) the people are usualy a little off scale to the buildings. Thanks again!

Just a bit of extra advice for micro... you could've used a single red stud, instead of the large red 1x1 'jar' pieces, as I like to call them.... :)

Quoting Hrvoje Hedžet You know, I always write your name/nick correctly, Ru. :) It looks great and it reminded me on the Empire Earth, Age of Empire and Stronghold Crusader imediatly. Job well done! My entry is on the way, just few more things (actually, I need to sort the pieces from some of my MOCs and edit pictures of Character Rides entry, but it'll be up in 3-4 days).
Thanks, I'm leaving for the beach now, so I hope to come back with some tuff competition on your page.

Quoting Areetsa C Needs some Red cavalry pillaging the mill. Just for the whole "hey, look, I'm invading you! Pay no attention to your villagers while I make off with all your worldy goods!" thing.
I plan on making some more microscale stuff, so I'll experiment with cavalry.
