AARRRGHHH! My computer and Mocpages crashed on the same day! I have to redo ALOT of the Pearl as alot of my work was erased. Plus, i hear you can't upload images right now. I hope to post over the weekend.

Blackbeard is being drunk in his cabin, no magic in this battle, pure fire power ;) Either way, it's not really relevant to link this to the movie, my black pearl is a lot bigger than the QAR (which would impossible in the movie because they are essentially the same ship)

This isn't supposed to match the movie line, I just wanted to express that I like the black pearl better than the QAR. Btw, Barbossa and Jack didn't seem to be such good friends, after all, barbossa betrayed jack multiple times

I was watching potc curse of the black pearl and noticed that the stern lanterns aren't so high

it will contain jack, davy jones, hammerhead crew member, master gibbs, will turner, bootstrap bill turner. I know that already but what you can read on this page is what I wrote before that info was available, it was a prognosis

This is an excellent creation certainly good for display. however if you look it up you will find that the official lego black pearl will have jack sparrow Davy Jones and one of his crew members...i'm not sure who else... overall excellent job!!

Fantastic work on the Black Pearl, I also got the Queen Anne's Revenge today and must say that I really like it, but nothing can take on the Pearl! Anyway great work!

I never managed in leaving a legobox unopened for more than six houres :P I heard the Pearl will be cheaper than QAR, good cause I don't want to spend too much money, on the other hand, cheaper means less :S

yeah the few cannons sure is a bummer, adding one of my old cannons doesn't look good either because of the color difference. best part of it is the cabin, it only misses some doors :P

The QAR looks so dainty next to your Pearl. I have the QAR as well but haven't had a chance to open it yet. Haven't had a chance to do much Lego at all actually with the house upgrades (but you already knew that). Man I hope you're right about the Pearl when Lego releases it. I doubt it, but we can all hope. ~ Chris.

Very nice! Love your Pearl. I too have the QAR and I was stunned at the fact it came with 8 cannon ports and only 3 cannons. Lego sure is cheap at times. I was also bummed out by the fact that Jack's hat and Angelica's hat are part of the hair piece, but I guess they had no other way to do that. Great movie though.

probably not however, the easiest way would be to modify the black pearl :P Maybe I'll make my pearl easy to convert into Queen Anne's Revenge and back again

Are you going to build your own version of the Queen Anne's revenge?

No she isn't, in the movie she has the exact same size as the black pearl head in the previous movies. In minifigure scale she would have to be as big as my black pearl as well. I don't have a lot fleshy minifigures so I split them in good guys and bad guys. I guessed the kind looking minifigures were the good guys :P

That's true, BUT not always, I saw someone using a ships hull for a monsters' mouth and placed it full of fangs, it was a brilliant creation

Your Black Pearl is definitely a looker, especially compared to the Queen Anne's Revenge. But I wouldn't expect too much from the upcoming LEGO ® version, because with what you have in mind the Pearl would cost a little fortune. But we'll see and hope for the best (and I'm looking forward to the Davy Jones minifig that will hopefully come out in autumn).

Yeah, your ship is a beast. I tend to avoid buying Lego airplanes and ships, because the hulls/fuselages aren't useful for anything else besides what they are being used for in the set.

I could say the same about your Vulcan ship :P

yea, but I dont think the megabloks version is good enough, the Lego Black Pearl would probably have cannons in the gun deck rather than have a circle carved into it, have more accurate masts, and a cabin with actual windows. I would comepare the Lego version with my old megabloks version, but I never new about Lego creating POTC legos, so it's mostly melted from being burned.

The megabloks version will probably more accurate to the real thing than the upcoming lego set. BUT that's what I like about LEGO, they give room for improvement. When I get it I'll probably make some nice modifications to make it better; the Megabloks version doesn't allow you to add an extra gunport or staircase.

man, this makes me want the queen anne's revenge more and my patience for the Lego Black Pearl has dropped. If you get the Black Pearl that Lego releases, can you get the megabloks version and compare them to your Black Pearl?

Great job. It is a little hard to see some of your work and details because of the lighting and black pieces, but looks nice overall.
