Great job, Arthur! Your Archetecture (Spelling? is superb!
By any cahnce, do you have a flickr account? If so, link me to it Please, I would like to FM you about a Battle of Berlin Collaboration, in which we are building a modular Reichstag building. However, there is a slight issue. That issue would be none of us have experience in architecture. We would like to have you in the collab, to be the backbone of the group, by helping us create our buildings and such. TGhanks so much, man. |

Spectacular! Your window styling is inimitable! I just have no idea how you make them. They're not just exotic and detailed, but you've layered them in a way that looks so right. I just don't think I know anyone else who could pull off something like this. |

Amazing work, are you an architect by chance?
Nope... I'm a High school math teacher. They say that there are three types of people: Those that understand math and those that don't understand math. Did you know that 5 out of every 3 people don't understand fractions. Did you know that 95% of all statistics are made up on the spot. |

Ok I guess, but it would be better if it were fig scale.
Why? Why would it be better at mini-fig scale?
For me the challenge (both artistic and intellectual) is recreating on smaller scales while still preserving the form and detail of the structure. |

Really excellent build! I have viewed your yellow one many times, seeing the Gray version is very nice - even if it is due to unfortunate mishaps with the previous model. ~Thoy |

This is actually the second time I've built this landmark. I originally built it six years ago for a Lego competition. It was built in yellow (a choice of economics as I had way too many yellow parts). The original yellow model received a first prize in which I received some Lego kits and an opportunity to display my model at the actual castle itself. One thing led to another and over the past six years the Lyndhurst Lego Festival has been one of the top attended Lego festivals in the USA (this past April the two day event, geared totally to kids, saw 5000 attendees)
Lyndhurst has events all year round; art shows, parties, weddings, etc. At a wedding over the winter, a guest with a wee bit to much alcohol, bumped into the display case holding the model and it crashed into hundreds of chunks. So I built this model to replace the old one. This one is in the correct color and more solidly built. |

... the windows are my favorite part of this model.
This was the most difficult part; trying to simulate the wrought iron windows. It took me over a week and I went through 25 iterations before settling on what you see in the model. |

And this is why I think of you as "the master." One of these days I'll need to build a microscale version of Glomshire Castle and your work will be inspirational, to say the least. For some odd reason, the windows are my favorite part of this model. As for the Biltmore, I'd love to see what you would do with the gardens as well as the estate house! |

Very nice -- now see if you can do Biltmore in Asheville, NC. That would be a bit of a challenge.
I might just take you up on that challenge!! |
