This model is my entry to part 2 of the LOTR Trilogy Contests. I built a HUGE 68x68 model of the ents flooding Isengard BEFORE I read the rules... Then, I built this model. It is based upon a scene at the Battle of Helm's Deep. If you are familiar with Gimli, Legolas, and their antics, this requires no further explanation.
About this creation

Gimli hewing down orc after orc.

The poor fella that got too close.

This guy... Is spilling his black orc-blood all over the place.

They just can't take a hint, can they?

The behind-the-scenes action.

Legolas' prey.

Legolas ("surprise!")

Views without figs.

The orcs.

Legolas and Gimli.

I agree exactly with Mark! Legolas could use a different torso and legs, and also hair. Nice Orcs!

This is great! I love this scene and your Orcs are Fantastic! Your Legolas could use work but that's the only problem I see!

Quoting Aidan Flynn Ha ha! Love this scene. The wall could be taller though. Check out my entry.
I wanted the wall to be thrice this size, but it would not have worked out because of the stairs on the back. In order to be taller, They would have to overflow past the 8x8 maximum. I spent HOURS trying to overcome this problem, and even considered a ladder, but then it would not be true to the real scene. By the way, your model is cool. I love the technique used for the waist-deep water.

Yes, but I have to tweak it a little before it will be presentable. It'll probably be a day or two.
