Note, the CAU reference relates to the fact that these designs are a consequence of the time travel events of the CAU-A universe and therefore are not part of the original time line. This is evidenced by the fact that events are occurring nearly 100 years out of sync from the original time line.

ok, as I pointed out previously the ProtoAgents are (supposed) to be the very first EVER designs produced by the cyberAgency, pre-dating the CyberAgent Samurai by about 100 years.

As a result the designs are much less polished, more "greebly" than the later models.

Looking at the latest Version 4.0 (the pastel blue one at the end) it actually looks more advanced than the later CyberAgent Neo line (the red figure with the yellow bladed weapons standing next to it in one of the last images).

This is partly due to the fact that CyberAgents are meant to be technorganic, ProtoAgents are mechanoids.

I think this may be the last design for the ProtoAgents for awhile as I'm looking to start something completely new.

revised Time Line.

1947 - The Grey visit Earth and leave sleeper units behind
2100 - Synthetic humanoids developed as workers
2108 - American government release to UN security council proof of the Grey's existence and details of the Sleepers they have discovered.
2109 - CyberAgency created to counter threat from Grey
2110 - First ProtoAgents developed.
2125 - Class 2 ProtoAgent evolves.
2150 - Class 3 and 4 ProtoAgents evolve. Major victory over Grey.
2170 - ProtoAgents "mothballed"
2171 - ShadowAgency set up in secret
2199 - First contact with the "Invaders"
2200 - Prototype CyberAgent developed from ProtoAgent, deployed to deal with the Invaders.
2205 - CyberAgent Samurai and CyberAgent Knights developed and deployed.
2207 - Centaur and Angel form CyberAgents deployed
2212 - CyberAgent ArcAngels deployed
2215 - The Invaders defeated.
2220 - Demon invasion, CyberAgents defeated.
2221 - Guardian CyberAgents created.
2222 - Demons repelled.
2230 - Civilian authorities take over CyberAgency, development of PPM (police patrol mech) from CyberAgent technology.
22231 - PowerAll corporation begin development and testing of captured CyberAgent, alien and demonic biotech and synthtech.
2240 - CyberAgent Neo team dispatched to recover "feral" PowerAll tech.
2250 - Atlantis discovered, revealed to be future base of CyberAgency sent back through time to prepare for coming "apocalypse"
2255 - Time Wars, every type Zero unit comes together to face rouge CyberAgents and some of the most powerful adversaries from the last 100 years. First Rogue ShadowAgents appear, CyberAgency disbanded, ShadowAgency takes over.
2270 - Military reactivate CyberAgency, first CAIN units deployed.
2290 - type X units appear, recreations of classic designs including SnowAngel and CyberAgent Zero Red.

This is only a rough timeline and is probably subject to more changes, but it incorporates most of the concepts I've done so far. I may start developing more of the enemy aliens as I only have a handful of designs so far.

not exactly. A few of them have some details as to what they do and who they fight (example the original CyberAgents were created to face alien invaders, the CyberAgents guardians were created to face demons etc.) As for what they are: nope I've never explained that in full, probably because I'm not really sure myself. Are they mechs? mechanoids, cyborgs, something else? I'm really not sure. I always assumed they were biomechnical, but as to a definition I leave it up to those viewing to make their own minds up.
