The 4402 designer set has some good designs of boats. But I missed a sailboat. So I began to create one with only parts of this set. It took me some time, but this is what came out. I didn't want to use a piece of paper for the sail so I pretended a foiled one with bricks.
WOW..... SIMPLY AMAZING PIECE OF ENGINEERING. AWESOME MOC. I HAVE 4402 SET AND IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO MAKE THIS SAILOR BOAT. CAN YOU PLEASE SAND THE INSTRUCTION TO MY MAIL firstname.lastname@example.org THANK A MILLION.
Hi Nathanael: I have admired this alternate for quite some time now. I've been looking for a good deal on set 4402 for a while also. If I recall, this was one of the larger sets from the first year that LEGO did the Designer series. Anyway, you've done a great job here on this MOC. You have included lots of details (as you always do). Great Job!
pretty cool. im assuming its a racing sailboat?
anyway, the only problem i had with it was that the gathered sail ran up the mast, instead of along the boom like its supposed to. but u were using only the set, right? maybe you had to... anyway id like to see more sails from ya!
