Unintended Consequences Part 2
In the spirit of the story of G.A.I.A., I start this 2nd chapter thus.
About this creation
Captain Kodura Hethel
Personal Log
Date: REDACTED

'Captain Hethel-

Hailing Captain Hethel, do you copy?

This is Captain Kurt Helstrom of Death-Bridge. Wilco asap (Will comply as soon as possible)
We are are the tip of the sword on route to Draggone prime, and cannot delay, however I have dispatched the Vanguard class Daphne to your sector of space, E.T.A, 28 Standard Earth hours.
Your next communiquae will be with the Daphne itself, I am sending through the com-link codes as we speak. I trust you can hold out till then.
Brief me as soon as you hear from the lady in recovery, and long live GAIA.

Out...'

Well, most of the fighter debris has been cleaned up, and the salvage crews are just about to begin on the derelict itself. We have been able to determine that the craft itself has probably been floating here for over a week before we had even arrived. It's amazing that anyone had survived at all, let alone the female pilot we managed to recover.

She's been unconcious since just after we recovered her, and have been hoping that she would wake soon, for we have many questions for her. Where was she from? What kind of ship was this? What was their ship protecting that would warrent damage like this? We still don't even know what is left of their computer core. The analysts are overjoyed with such a challenge, and assure me that they will crack the unknown encryption soon.

The RB-24 Skifters have been fixed to the outside belly hull of the Defiant Justice, to make room in the cramped hangar for salvaged debris. Some of the mechanics have been salvaging parts, attempting to reverse engineer the drives of the battered, torn craft. The head mechanic has refused to touch the debris, as he claims that it should not be messed with, except for by the researchers.

One of the analysts is working with the mechanics to study the debris to study the control systems contained within the engines. He cited the reason was to see if data collected would aide in the decryption of the computer data that was recovered. One of our pilots had taken an interest in the debris, but he was quickly shooed away.

Unfortunately, it would seem that the Head mechanic was correct in suggesting that we should have waited to let the researchers test the debris. The engines use an unknown type of fuel, and apparently, our fuel is incompabitable with their engine systems. The result was...

"...UNEXPECTED."

LOG ENTRY DISRUPTED...

"Command, this is Eye-2. I have reached the recon point and have deployed the Long Range Sensors, and the Mass Radar is online. I am beginning the recon relay now."

"Roger that, Eye-2. Take a full read of the sector and then report back."

Quoting Mike C This is really cool. Like I said before you should write a graphic novel. Your story line really does capture the reader. Awesome job
I may have to. There's a great deal that I could add, but right now, I am just going to finish this line. That'll come later.

Quoting Max W. this is great, just don't drag it out too far. if you don't, people will remember it in a positive way, but if you do the quality will decline and it'll just fall apart. Just like Rome! on a side note, i like how there is so much more in each episode, as opposed to Areetsa's MOCIA. keep it up!
Don't worry, this will definately keep people interested with what I have planned. And I don't anticipate making this too long. It takes a lot of work to put it together, even using LDD.
