Zeshran Techs Fleet
Once a top corporate manufacturer of all things military, Zeshran Techs now exists as a rogue organization, watching and waiting for the day in which they can strike back.
About this creation
Prior to the rise of the Edges Synthos Corporation, Zeshran Techs was the foremost military manufacturer. They produced fine military equipment, weapons, and even mercenaries that other corporations could purchase to protect their own assets. Zeshran Techs enjoyed major influence on the Business Board, as most of the corporate directors were clients.

Now that they have been declared a rogue organization, their resources are severely limited, and they more resemble highly organized pirates than the military force they once were, but that does not mean that they are any less dangerous than before.

Zeshran Techs Capital Ship: The Beam Cruiser

The Beam Cruiser, often refered to as the Beamship is one of the largest weapons ever to be produced. The ship itself is entirely built around the cannon. The beam that it fires is powerful and accurate enough to hit planetary targets from orbits of over 1000 km, and can easily put a beam through any ESC ship that has the misfortune of finding itself in the Beamship's sights.

Keeping with Zeshran Techs design doctrine, the Beamship is heavily armed in addition to its primary weapon. In this case, 8 heavy dual cannon turrets provide suberb protection, and it's point defense system shows little weakness.

The Beamship's primary weakness is that it is slow to move and to aim. With only two main drives, this ship requires far more time to move around the battlefield, giving the much quicker ESC fleets an edge against it, requiring that the Beamship have a sufficient escort. While slow, Beamships are the ultimate in long range or blunt force weapons.

Beamships feature twelve main generator complexes, six on the belly, and six on the back. Each one of the generators can generator energy for a single shot. The Beamship can fire its main weapon once every 45 seconds, the time required to cool the cannon sufficiently. The cannon power feed alternates between generators, which gives each generator sufficient time to rebuild its charge, so that by the time that the twelth generator has been fired, the first is fully recharged.

Beamships are extremely deadly, and the ESC is very fortunate that not many of these ships survived the resultant purge that occured when Zeshran Techs was declared roque. That is also why the Zeshran Techs Remnants carefully guard their surviving Beamships.

Zeshran Techs Frigate: Maruader

Marauders are frigate sized assault ships. While they do not maintain a main cannon as their ESC counterparts do, they feature far heavier armor, and twice as many light turrets.

Mounted on the back are relay towers which allow the Marauders to act as comm relays and recon when necesary. Before the fall of Zeshran Techs, ships were very specialized, but now that resources are tight, many ships now serve multiple purposes.

Mounted within the belly, Marauders have five torpedo tubes for dealing with threats larger than themselves. Since Marauders often act as pirate ships, these torpedo launchers are usually very effective against the slower escort ships of most convoys. Unfortunately, the torpedos used lack the offensive punch necesary to deal with ESC SotL (Ships of the Line).

The Marauder is powered by an oversized main drive from ships much larger than itself. This allows the Maruader to be very fast, but it does suffer from poor manueverability. Marauders are the only Zeshran Techs ships to feature a second bridge, and in a pinch, the Marauder can be used as a battering ram, due to the heavy armor.

Zeshran Techs Capital Ship: Assault Carrier

Assault Carriers are very versatile ships designed by Zeshran Techs. These ships are part carrier, part repairship, part warship, and all attitude. Across the top deck is the primary repair facility than can service ships up to destroyer size, though it is most often used for Marauders.

Mounted to the belly of the Carrier are two high-load landing barges, which can also double as troop shuttles for boarding actions. Most ESC shipboard Security know that if you are boarded by a Zeshran Techs landing barge, you WILL be overrun.

The Carrier's hangar bay is massive and can carry five times the number of fighters that an ESC carrier can. Since Assault Carriers often travel in pairs, it is standard protocol not to engage them without adequate starfighter screening.

Assault Carriers have three main access points to their hangar bay, one facing foreward, and one on each side, allowing for fast deployment of whole fighter wings. The current priamary fighter is the ZTF-42a "Trident" and in large numbers, these quick, agile fighters can easily overwhelm point defense systems.

Assault Carriers are powered by four main drives, which provide decent acceleration despite the heavy mass of the Carrier itself. They are not very manueverable, however, and have often been refered to as the modern version of the ancient sea-faring carriers used long ago.

Assault Carriers are called such, as they suppost their own offensive weaponry. In the foreward section, there are a pair of capital class torpedo launchers, and the ship has six heavy dual cannon turrets. Assault Carriers also maintain an extremely heavy point defense system for guarding against enemy fighters and bombers.

Zeshran Techs Capital Ship: Destroyer

Zeshran Techs destroyers were designed specifically to combat the faster, more manueverable Geneva Class ESC detroyers. While they do have a mounted foreward main cannon, the real gem on this ship is the MegaTurret mounted to the upper hull. In addition to this powerful weapon, the Destroyer maintains six heavy dual cannon turrets, and a pair of capital class torpedo launchers.

Zeshran Techs ships are known for their heavy armor and durability, and the Destroyers are no exception. Often refered to as turtle shells, Destroyer armor can ward off most weaponry save for the heaviest beam weapons, or ESC Resonance Torpedos. But the point defense network utilized by the Destroyers are particularly designed to shoot down such torpedos.

While slower and less maneuverable than their ESC counterparts, Destroyers are quick in their own right. They are powered by three primary drives and can keep pace with some of the larger ESC ships themselves.

As stated before, the Zeshran Techs Destroyers were designed to combat the Geneva Destroyers specifically, and the primary focus of that level playing field is the MegaTurret. Destroyers are not maneuverable, but they can roll quite effectively, and the servos on the MegaTurret are extremely powerful, allowing it to effectively track a faster Geneva Dstroyer. The beam cannons on the MegaTurret are so powerful that they can melt through the armor on a Geneva in the first blast. The second blast often goes straight through.

Destroyers are smaller than their ESC counterpart, but they are more dense, which further adds to their durability. Pirate fleets are most commonly formed with a Destroyer and four Marauders. Unfortunately, most ESC convoys are guarded by 4 Resta Class Frigates, and they are often no match for the pirate fleets of Zeshran Techs.

This images shows a pair of Resta Class Frigates attempting to hold off a Zeshran Techs Destroyer while the convoy they were guarding makes its escape. Unfortunately for the ESC frigates, that MegaTurret can put a beam straight through theirs hulls, as seen here.

Zeshran Techs still maintains a single world unde their control, which is their base of operations. This world, Gerith, was once a bueatiful terran world that was devastated by a coporate holstile action. Zeshran Techs moved in afterward, and while it has been partially re-terratformed, Gerith was used as a resource world and shipyards due to its high resource value.

Unfortunately, the defenses are currently too much for the ESC to handle, and so the world is mostly quarantined.

The Zeshran Techs survivors ultimate goal is to destroy the ESC, retake the Busniess Board and restore their corporation to its former glory. Even with such powerful weapons at their disposal, they have their work cut out for them.

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Well, I decided to post these four together as one, to save time. Hope you guys like them, but don't get too friendly, as they are liable to shoot your face off. Ha.

Quoting Aidan Bryant Sweet fleet man! You can never go wrong with a classic colour scheme like that! Looks my latest fighter might blend right in...
Actually, yeah it would. Neat fighter that you've got there.

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Ha, I know too well! Especially when you want to cut something really complex, make a mistake and you have to start all over again! That hurts...
Tell me about it. That's another reason I like LDD. The original LDD 4 fills the back with a transparent field so all I have to do is fill in the model image. No background removal required.

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Nice work, dude! I admire the fact that you have so much creativity in you to come up with so many great designs! The cool picture editing gives everything the final cut. Thanks for the cool fighting shots, your LDD skills are quite impressive. The only drawback is that you can't touch your MOCs. ~Marc
That's true, but it's more of a trade off. But what can you do? And can you believe I've been using GIMP for less than two weeks? I can't. It's fun to use, but it's also very frustrating.

Quoting CBMC Chunkblaster So I'm assuming Zeshran Techs survives by selling to the remaining Blacktron forces? By the looks of the colorscheme and aesthetics of the ships this seams like a feesable explenation =P Nice work bro. The assault carrier is my favorite, however It would be nice to see just a bit more detail to the undersides of these fascinating ships.
Actually, these ships have no connection to blacktron. The Zeshran Techs colors were chosen based off a fig that I made. You can see it in the ZTF-42a "Trident" as it's the pilot. I'll see what I can do about the belly sections.

Quoting Cody G Well done, I love the different ship descriptions! I would have liked to see a bit more diversity among the heavy turrets though, to better fit each ship's function.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that? Would you please elaborate?
