Bricksburg Union Train Station v1.5 - This station added a new roof, as well as a car canopy for incoming and outgoing passengers from the station.
About this creation
This version of the Brickburg Union Station was built between November of 2001 and january of 2002. This version rebuilt the glass roof of both halves of the station, as well as the addition of a car canopy for the entrance. This version was displayed at the MichLUG display at GATS January 2002 show in Novi, Michigan.

Here is a front shot of the station and the canopy - the near part is like a bus stop, so people can wait for their rides regardless of weather.

Here is a shot of the loading area - complete with garage doors.

Here is a shot of one of the tracks with a train coming in.

Here is a close up of the interior - a lot of seats and a lot of tiles.

Here is one of my favorite shots - here you can see the crack - which was caused by the shifting of plates during setup - this caused several changes in the way I approached my station.

Here is a nice view of a couple of things - Amy Hughes impressive church in the background, Tony Hedglen working on my Shell Station, and Steve Ringe's son.

Here is an overview of the glass in the train station, and the changed roof - the last one was too flimsy.

Here is a shot of the sides and of Larry P.'s train.

Here is a nice overview shot of my corner of the MichLUG layout.

I like this shot of the downtown area and the station - this was one of the largest layouts we ever done - and the most crowded - after this show GATS decided to pu the layouts in the back so it would not be so jammed. : )

Another nice shot of the corner.

Here is a good shot of the canopy and the service drives. I love the two lane loop around, it reminded me of airports in that fashion.

A nice shot of the left side, complete with a rest stop and monorail service.

Here is a shot of the right side.

   Anotrher front shot.

   A left side shot.

Here is a shot of the interior - you can see the staircases and th tiling, and the monorail. If I remember right, I think the monorail got caught, I had to do some minor revisions.

Another shot of the inside - you can see the train logo in the tiling.

A close up of the front.

   Another overview shot.

   A nice corner shot.

   A nice overall shot.
