Captains Quarters
Captains Quarters. Here is another "Pirates of the Caribbean" MOC, displaying Captain Barbossa! I didn't base the build off the movie this time, but I simply had to do a creation showing off the awesome mini-fig! This is my entry for Mitchell Andre's 8x8: "Vignette Contest". I pretty much piled every pirate-like objects I could imagine, onto this 8x8 build. I created the crowded atmosphere on purpose, because I figured that pirates were probably total slobs. Heavy rum drinkers! There are some things that you can't even see from these photos: A brown pirate pistol, a ruby (the second one in the MOC, there's also one on the table), and three coins; these elements are all concealed in the treasure chest on the wall. Please feel free to rate and/or leave a comment!
About this creation

Captain Barbossa: He is definitely one of my favorite Lego POTC mini-figs. In the actual vignette (above) I stuck boot-like studs on his feet to make him look taller, but those are absent here.

Really great clutter! I tried that on one of my MOC Athalon entries, but you did better. :) (You can trade those dull-gold coins in for chrome gold ones, like they show on the box)

For the Vignette Contest: GREAT PHOTOS! Best ones in the contest and from you. Nice white background. Anyone who has seen POTC can relate to Barbossa's crowded, stuffy cabin. Can't say enough about this. 10/10! You will win this! AWESOME! FINAL SCORE: 10/10!

I am happy to see a bunch of rare pieces in one MOC, but still a little over crowded. The build is simple enough, but you captured the atmosphere of a pirate captins cabin. 7/10

Wow this is very cool!!! It is very crowded but your amount of detail made up for it. 9/10

Nice work!!!! This is a great MOC, but it is a little bit to crowded in my opinion. You did say that that's what you are wanting it to look like, but I think you overdid it. Your score 8/10. Great job!!!

Quoting The Timinater ! awesome job! I watched the movie last night- so like this- not as crowded, of course, but very similar- brilliant job!
Thanks, but I actually didn't base it off the movie, this is just custom design.

Quoting Christopher Baldacci WOW. We must have the exact same POTC sets! I love the feel and brings back memories of watching Barbossa's cabin for the first time and remembering the rustic, cluttered sloppiness, with his gap-toothed grin on the other side. What a replication of the movie! 5 stars!
The funny thing is, I did not base this one off the movie, (unlike my Blacksmith Shop Duel, that was very closely built off the film).

Quoting Michael Kringe Excellent, but where is the poisened apple? XD
Look up in the top left hand comer of the MOC... *evil Barbossa chuckle*

where is he's beloved pet jack ??? its a really nice job, all the crowded items makes it look realistic at somehow, and barbosa is also one of mine favorite minifigs from POTC
