Legoland Billund: A complete experience part II
Miniland.
About this creation
934 km of roads trough Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany & Denmark lay between our home and Legoland. Eleven hours of traffic separates us from Izegem and Billund. It was all worth the ride. This is a journal of our trip to the birthplace of the brick, between the second and the fifth of June 2011. We had an awesome time. This should reflect that feeling. Hope it catches on you…

The miniland displays are just awesome. Everey setting has an information board: building time, the count of used parts and a background story. You can push a button and smoke appears, cars start to drive, mills turn...you name it, it happens! For a kid, this is a wonderfull time. For a MOC'er it is beyond. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

The new Star Wars Miniland scale displays:

We took more than 300 pics of miniland: here's a small selection of some of my favourit stuff:

Gorgeous builds Gio....did you make those AT-ATs all by yourself or did your son step up and show Dad who the real master was?? All kidding aside, I wish I coulda snuck into your luggage!

I thought that the displays at LEGOLAND California were impressive! By the way, they really need to get a better Pirate theme in there than that one pirate. That's the only that I didn't like. Congratulations on your son winning not one but TWO daily contests with his MOCs. He's got a bright future in making MOCs. Also, I've actually seen trucks like that double tanker combination in my town in Nevada right outside my window sometimes.

Very cool set sir. I was there...uhm 28 years ago (ahem), and I still remember that space shuttle vividly. Very nice to see some things again that I recognise, and to see what new stuff they have.

OK, that was sooner than I thought. I love the SW set ups. It is great to see Lego combined with natural elements. Thansk for sharing, is there a part 3? ~UC
