My entry for The Amazing History Contest!



In 1922, archaeologist Howard Carter discovered steps buried in the sand that would lead him to the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Here we see Carter and a hired native digger uncovering the stairs.





As you can see, the base is about 8 X 7.5 studs.



A photo of Carter. I tried to make the fig look as much like him as possible, but I'm shockingly lacking in heads with JUST mustaches. Perhaps with all the excitement he's forgotten to shave for several days?
