Nearly one year after its introduction, the C5A went through a major refit, specifically for its turret. Recognizing the relatively weak design of said turret, engineers focused on strengthening it, as well as adding additional optics which were sorely lacked in the original. Additional armor and elimination of shell traps was also a goal that was successfully completed with the upgraded program, leaving the Canadian military with a definitive MBT.
Long story short- tried to fix all the issues with the original while keeping its looks (which have really grown on me). I will leave you guys to determine how successful I have been. Also, lots of new (and old things) will be posted soon. Enjoy.
Once again, this is meant to highlight the new turret, which was revised (completely torn apart and rebuilt for structural integrity and fewer gaps).
Since I mostly changed the turret, I focused on adding additional features that my first version really lacked, or did poorly. Visible are the revised hatches, added gunner's MG, and revised side armor.
Showing off the side of the revised turret, as well as the lowered engine panels which allow for uninhibited 360 rotation.
