Gas miner Behemoth
About this creation
Behemoth is a ship designed for collecting gas from dense nebulaes or atmosphere of gas giants. Collected gas is centrifuged in first, rotating module at the front, and then it proceeds into the rafinery - which is in the same ship. A single Behemoth in rich nebula can easily support few heavy cruisers with fuel. The ship itself is unarmed, as it operates rather in safe parts of galaxy. However, its massive reactors powering refinery and gas collectors are enough to power some additional guns - so deep space mining Behemots surely will be able to bite.

This Behemoth is unarmed version. Still, its armor is so heavy that it can take lots of beating harmlessy while escort fends off attackers.

Gas-collecting module. Spins freely, but the connection is surprisingly strong.

Detacheable containters. Behemoth has internal tanks for fuel it has refined, but it can also store it in tanks for easier transporting.

Another way to pump the fuel out.

Behemoth is not fast. Its engines are rather fuel-efficient than powerful. In fact, for most time this ship cruises slowly through upper atmosphere or in nebulae - so it does not need speed.

   Airlocks and cargo loading tubes.

Bridge - massive and armored as everything else.

This shows how strong is the connection between main hull and rotating module. No turntables here - only one 12-length axle and 10 bushes :)

It's detailed, it looks awesome and I love the bridge concept as well as the colour scheme- yes, that's a 5/5 for you!

I like it, especially its construction. I have not completely mastered the art of seamless Studs Not On Top building, but apparently you have. I like what you did with the forward section, though I am not particularly attracted to the bridge (bit too much like a naval vessel), but that is easily overlooked, for the rest of the rear section is good too! Keep it up!

great as usual! i think the way the yellow cotrol tower pops out of the grey hull is remarquable!!! i like the whole concept of the ship slowly floating in dense nebulae clouds collecting gas...i also really like the detachable containers!so this is a really good creation except that its completely defenseless and that there might be creatures in these dense gas clouds...^^ and pirates! they sure like gas! so asome cannons would be nice or even better: an escort ship^^...check out my site sometimes i may have released some new stuff you didnt see;) cheers
