Here is a somewhat different take on the mecha genre PLUS a bonus poem! Enjoy.
About this creation
When little Remi can't protect
his idle head goes on unchecked.
He'll walk the hallways to and fro
but soon there's no where left to go.
Finally he'll lay down to sleep
in the flowering grass knee-deep.

cool MOC - well done, between the photography and the MOC, the stance of the figure, the overgrowth of lego stems, it definitley conveys the theme! |

That's just lovely Alex, a unique presentation of a very popular theme. Was he built to lie down or can he be stood up?
Both. He looks a little awkward standing and doesn't have full poseability but it works. |

The scene looks so sorrowful and yet peaceful all at the same time. Poor machine, I'm sure he saw better days.

This very much reminds me of EVE's dead robotic body from near the end of MOTHER...
*Robot Eve was demolished and moved no more.
*Examining the wreckage caused music to start
(Sing. a. mel-.o-.dy. of-.....)
*Ninten remembered the tune. |

Amazing moc, but the last two lines offended me. I'm a HUGE stickler for rhythm. But the lego bit was MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD! |

It's a very nice sight to see with that poem (the feeling). This reminds me not of the comments before me but a image I once came across of a old Zaku bot laying in the forest, dead and with Earth covering up what was once a violent war. |

This is very emotional and - although it's a mech or a bot - very organic. In combination with the background it's perfect. |

yeah Kazuki, it does look like castle in the sky. It'd be great to see the whole tree of 'em in the graves as a MOC. |

Very cool. When I first saw it though, the pose and the immersed body made me think of a hot tub... maybe version 2.0?
Robot in a hot tub is definitely something that should exist in LEGO form. |

Poor Robbie! Seriously, let's forget mechs for a second, this reminded me immediately of the short "Strange playfellow" (AKA "Robbie") by Isaac Asimov. Something like a few years later... still, very cool. |
