The Nautilus's Salon
The Salon on board the Nautilus from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
About this creation
Hi everyone! I just finished reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne so I thought I would make a MOC from that. I also watched the Disney movie version which was pretty good although it changed the story a lot.

The one room on board the Nautilus that stood out to me a lot was the Salon. At first I wanted to make a large port-hole so you could see out into the ocean, but it turned out to be too complicated and I didn't have the bricks to make it. This version isn't based directly off the book or the movie. It just includes some things I remember from both.

The centerpiece is Captain Nemo's organ (which I just barley had enough gold bricks to make). Also you can see part of Captain Nemo's collection of zoophytes (or whatever they are called, lol), and some of his works of art hanging on the wall.

So enough talk, here are some pictures.

I opted for a SNOT floor for this MOC because I thought it looked cleaner. I think the hardwood floor turned out pretty well.

Nemo at the organ.

Here's Professor Aronnax and Conseil looking at Nemo's collection.

Here's Ned Land

Here's Captain Nemo. The Admiral's torso was the best I could find for him. I like the head I used though.

Here's Nemo with his first mate.

Here's some pics without the figs.

Very good, Will you be doing more Phrophecy or Pharoh's Quest or Sir Graham and the Sinful Sorcerer?

Well done! I've never seen the movie or read the book, but you certainly put a good feel to this MOC that screams classic literature. Nice work!
