A commando-type unit that was mainly used as a testbed for construction techniques that I was planning to use on the 00 Gundam.

Rear View: No equipment

Front View: The I-Type's standard equipment includes its shoulder cannon, a double bladed beam sabre and a pair of forearm shields/twin-linked medium beam cannons, but it can mix-and-match its equipment in many different configurations, depending on the mission-type.

The beam cannons mounted on the forearm shields are the primary ranged weapons of the I-Type.

The drive system on the I-Type is even more powerful than that of the V-Type. It can reach orbit unassisted in standard gravity, and is easily capable of multi-mach speeds in atmosphere. One of its favored tactics is aerial bombardments from directly above, using its beam cannons.

Leaping and firing beam cannons

For melee combat, the I-Type carries a double bladed beam sabre. If need be, the beam sabre can also operate in single blade mode.

Another favorite attack of I-Type pilots is high speed aerial passes with the beam sabre. Its powerful blade can shear through virtually any known substance in a single blow.

The I-Type's shoulder cannon has several different models, ranging from energy weapons to solid artillery. Typically, when firing on a long-range target in gravity, it will kneel to steady itself.

However, no matter what position it is in, the I-Type is an adaptable machine, ready for anything at any given moment.

The I-Type's most deadly feature, however, is its ability to lock on to multiple targets and fire with all weapons simultaneously!

This "Full Burst" attack is what makes the I-Type such a formidable commando unit. It can bring down entire squads of enemies in a single salvo.

The I-Type's advanced targeting computer makes it possible to even bulls-eye moving enemies at range using a full-burst maneuver.

I was comparing this to the height of your Gundams, and it seems that it would be a perfect height for a regular Mobile Suit if it was a tad taller (since Gundams have normally been taller/bigger than regular Mobile Suits). Any suggestions? |

Nicely done, didn't know you could make such nice angled poses in LDD, good job Its not easy, but it can be done. Mostly by mistake, though ;)

That's good to hear! I'm also somewhat at 75% with my Delphine/Dirfinge. Only the leg armor and the actual "broken sword like" thing on the back are left. I started using your arm idea with this moc. And also a new technique I'm trying out with it on the torso, making it able to bend in all directions for better action poses.
I'd love to take credit for the arm design, but it is definitely not my invention. I'm not sure who made it, actually. Moko, or Sugesasa or Izzo probably. As for the bending torso thing, there are a number of frames out there that feature bendy torsos. Mechahub.com is a good place to start looking for stuff of that nature. |

Man that's a pain! It happend with me once too. If I remember it was when I built the Sazabi. The program refused to open the file the next day when I tried to open it, but in my case after I decreased everything to the lowest performance in LDD it worked again. But after that incident I always do backup saves on my creations and also a tip: when you're building a new MOC make sure you save seperate parts (like the completed leg or head) to template. This way even if the original file gets corrupted you may have a way to get a backup on the model. I wish you can get the file working again, still it's got to be a pain to have this happen when it's almost done :S I hope I helped with this somewhat!
Its fortunate that I tend to take a lot of WIP screenshots as I go, so I have been able to get back to the point I was at last night. I'm just working on the swing arms on the backpack of the 00, and then I'll be adding the mounts for the GN drives, and the GN drives themselves, of course. Once I have that, and a couple of other small details finished, then I'll be posting a preview pic. Stay tuned! Also, I'm not completely finished with this particular mech either, but I want to get 00 done now that I'm on a roll. |

Oh, the Humanity! I was working on my 00 gundam last night, and was about 75% done the main gundam itself (not including the armaments or alternate forms or upgrades), and then this morning, when I went to open the file, it said "unable to open file". No matter what I do, I keep getting this message. Its so unfair! I don't know if I can even re-create the steps I took to make that model again! Has anyone else had this problem? More to the point, has anyone else managed to recover their work after experiencing this problem? Any advice would be appreciated. I've already tried re-installing the program, and renaming the file, but neither worked. |

Thats good to hear! btw when will you build the Gadess that I gave you as a challange? No need to hurry, I'm just reminding you :P oh and check out my Fafnir when you have the time.
Gadess is still coming but will be after 00 Gundam and a couple of other projects. Its not forgotten, but I need to still level up a bit first. |

Very nicely done Mythril. I never thought of using the tubes like that, but it definitely gives the beam a more energetic look. I also particularly like the shield guns, they fit it nicely. Have you considered making a transport for deployment? ^Blub^
A transport? Probably not--I'll leave that up to some other clever builder. Transports aren't really my thing. The only time I made something like that was for my M-Type mk I. It was pretty clumsy and ugly (though it did work). As for the tubes--I've been doing that for years. With real lego, I tend to build my mecha for play purposes, and so I was tired of my beam sabres always shattering. I had a bunch of tubes from a pod-racer set from way back, so I decided to use them to stabilize the design. |

It turned out pretty nicely! Great job on the poses!
Thanks man--I'm not done with this one just yet, but I haven't had time to work with it. I'll have some more shots before long. |

How long do you spend on LDD every day do you think? Destroy!
I used to spend a lot more time with LDD than I do now. I've gotten a lot better at using the program over time. |

Awesome guns! The white core of the beam saber looks really good.
I wish that they actually made pneumatic tube parts in that color. You could probably achieve the same effect with white lightsaber blade parts, though you would need a lot of them, and the sabre would get really heavy. |
