So, One day i made a series of custom mechs using the good old UXM-1 frame. One of the first, An Airel Combat Mech, became my signature mech when i upgraded it for the UXM-1.T frame. Here it is with two other mechs i built as gifts for Andrew and Chunkblaster.

Hey Man, Thanks For Joining The Group. I've Looked Over This In LDD, So I Have A Better Sense Of The Designs. There Very Nice Modifications To BA's Designs, I Know He Knows You Didn't Steal The Design Idea, Nor Am I Accusing You Such But Make Sure You Formally Credit Him For The People Who Are Unaware His Work, So Post A Link To Original, Helps Him Out. As For The Designs, They're Clean, The Only Issue I Have Is With The Gunner Mech, How Does It See With The Armor Blocking The Sensor, I Can See That The Weapons Have Senors, But The Mech Itself Has No Actual Sensor. Another Issue I Had Is Not A Design Issue, Rather A Presentation Issue. I Know You Have The File, But Keep In Mind That The Page Sells That File. I Suggest Taking Pics Of Each Mech For Detail, Like The Front, Side(s), And Rear. That Would Give People A Clear Overview On The Mechs And That Helps A Lot. So, The Issue Here Is Not The Designs, But The Page Itself. So, Try Taking Some Quick Pics Of The Mechs And Add Them To The Page. So Overall, The Mechs Are Nice Mods Of BA's Designs, But You Need Put More Effort In Selling Them, Nice Work On These. Oh, And One More Thing, Gatling Style Rotary Cannons Do Not Fire Out Of Each Barrel In The Fashion Depicted, Only Out Of One At A Time, It's A Common Misconception How Rotary Cannons Work And Many Make The Mistake. |

ok firstly these look very similar to the designs of bioengineer, perhaps a credit would be in order.
secondly, it is possible to reposition the camera so that you see more of the moc, some of the images are difficult to make out any detail. you have no shots of the rear of any of them and it would have been nice to have shown some shots giving us a better look at the detail.
I know posing mechs in LDD is time consuming and a total pain at times, but showing these three in more poses would have been nice too.
That said I like them. Your choice of weapons and armour detail is pretty good, for this scale I can't find much to fault the designs on.
I'm also impressed you put a minifig in there so we have an idea of just how tall they are.
well done. |
