Oasis
About this creation
Long after the humans have abandoned their planet and consumed its resources, the thinking machines once made by Man resurrect a new paradise from the sands of the wasteland.

Oasis is the second collaborative diorama by Tyler Clites and me. It was built from April to June 2011 and contains approximately 25,000 pieces over an area of 5 ft by 7 ft. The creation was inspired by the idea of a spinning wheel towering above a pool of moving water.

The shadoof made me laugh, like, they have all that high-tech stuff and they are using a SHADOOF to lift water! Lol. Is all that driven by the one visible XL motor or are there more? If there are, they are nicely hidden. 100000/5 stars!

It would seem that I now have a new favourite scene, and I doubt that I'll be changing my mind anytime soon. I love the huge amount of detailing in this; the flashing lights on the landing pads, the rippling water, the fans, and of course the wheel. I can't help but feel that if the wheel were to spin slower it would look better, but it's your decision, and I won't argue. Fantastic job!

You people are the envy of every Lego creator who ever lived. I find my self struck in awe at the majesty of this creation, but at the same time I feel overwhelmed in jealousy because I know that I will never own the means to create such masterpieces. But knowing such truth, I should just sit back and watch these things being constructed.

This is so mind-blowingly perfect that I watched the video two times. The PF work here is flawless, the concept is fresh, the building techniques are spectacular, and it looks like a scene straight out of a special-effects flick or a video game. Wow. Incredible.

So this is why you haven't posted anything lately! Well, the wait was worth it, because this is one of the coolest creations that I have ever seen! All hail Nannan Z and Tyler, the Kings of MOC!

This is very, very cool, core sci-fi. It reminds me a little of Zanzibar and a level from Bulletstorm and yet its unique at the same time.

It is spectacular, of course, but the idea to motorize water is nothing short of genius. Hypnotizing, too.
