NEOS 'Sentinel' Heavy Walker
By request of Parrington that I build something a bit cooler than a tablescrap fighter, and by request of Mithryl that I make a mech after putting them off for so long, I present to you the NEOS 'Sentinel' heavy walker. Enjoy!
About this creation

So let's see, back story. Right.
The 'Sentinel' is a heavy walker designed for dealing with urban threats such as small vehicles, infantry, and turrets. Its arsenal lacks the punch that most NEOS heavy mecha are given, but it makes up for it with variety. With deadly efficiency, the 'Sentinel' walker can clear an entire city block of enemies in a few short minutes.

The leg design. I had to improvise a bit here, seeing as I haven't got the heart to take apart my 'Voyager' and my 'Reaperlord' for parts. Therefore, the 'Sentinel' is a bit small, but it compliments the other two walkers very well.

Back view. Nothing too special, but armored enough so that the pilot can turn around and destroy whatever is shooting at it before any real damage is done.

The body of the mech, were all the goods are stored. There are ten high-velocity missiles on the front of the mech for destroying small vehicles and turrets on the ground, four of the same missiles on the top of the walker for rooftop pests, two anti-air missiles for countering an air strike, two napalm rockets for burning down enemy-filled buildings, three light laser cannons in case the enemy has shields, and a rather large chaingun for your general messing stuff up.

I am strangely drawn to this windshield, which is inconvenient because it's so small and awkward that making it look good while still fitting a minifigure is a huge challenge.

Cockpit. Not much detail, thanks to the stupid windshield. Still, I worked with what I had.

And a parting shot with the 'Sentinel' pilot. Rate and comment!

So I'm a bit out of practice with mech building, but I think I did rather well on this one, given the circumstances. If there's one thing I've learned from building this, it's that I need to find a balance between Sci-fi, Bionicle, Pokemon, and whatever other themes I am interested in, lest I lose my ability to build well in one of them. This was a good exercise though, I had to improvise a bit and work outside the norm, which helped me grow as a builder. I plan on going old school and making a few microships soon as well. I would also like to thank everyone who comments on almost all of my MOCs, including Aidan, Parrington, Cossy, Callan, Deus, and many more. Thanks for the support, guys!

Quoting Stormbringer . How is it that you build so quickly, while working on your Pokemon series? Great mech, and ready for battle!
I had a pretty open week, and I pumped out quite a few MOCs in that time. Hopefully I can continue to build at this rate. Assuming summer quarter isn't too hectic, I should. :)

Quoting Parrington Levens dude, how do you do that so easily? And so quick! You must just be able to build awesome mechs in your sleep. Yup, totally cool, maybe I owe you a mech now? lol. I'll need some time though... Beast!!!
A GAIA mech would be totally kickaxe! Hmmm... lightbulb! :)

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix I knew this was a Cody G mech the moment I saw the pictures! Great job--I'm really impressed that you managed to make the legs out of just bricks without any internal structure whatsoever. Impressive engineering!
Thanks! Glad to know I have a signature style! :)

I am always impressed with your mechs. This one is no exception, and now, thanks to you, I have been forced to try one for myself. Could you check it out and offer feedback? I would appreciate it.

Great mech, Chief! Sure would come in handy at all those riots. I like the variety of weapons, and the color scheme works well. Wicked!

Looks like a great light mech. The legs are well done and I like how the cockpit turned out nice and cramped emphasizing the light nothing but essentials look. Went a little overboard with all the trans yellow-green cones though it over complicates the front end in my opinion. Over all great job.

Very nice mech, Cody. I'm going to have to try my hand at this style eventually. I like the legs, they look spindly at first, but that makes them harder to hit, and more agile in urban environs. And the weapons array is mighty impressive too. ^Blub^

Great walker man! You got much farther than I did the last few times I tried. I think I've posted about 3 mechs/walkers, but so many more have come so close to being page worthy, and then the legs send em right pack to the parts bins. I've even cheated twice and posted two legless walkers, yeah figure that out xD. Well I may just have to try again.

If you say that this is a result of being "out of practice," then I don't even want to contemplate what my mech building skills are. Great job, the color scheme is really nice.
