Brickworld 2011 Entry I
Ahhhh Brickworld. Debauchery. Drunkeness. Dennis. What more could you ask for?!
About this creation
We started off with Anthony Dunne and Kevin Walter picking me up at the airport. I had actually flown in on Monday and drove out to Iowa for work. I returned the car and they swung by and grabbed me.

We immediately started running into people in the lobby. The Sterlings, Phipson, and Abner were cruising around. Chris actually had our builds in the car and we piled them up and took them to the room for evaluation.

As you can see, Kevin's tower is just literally smashed to bits. He was very upset and stressed out, as the tower was definitely a huge portion of the collaboration. It was a key build without a doubt.

We had plenty of alcohol to sustain us.

Even my builds arrived jacked up. It was stressful to put all of these things back together in time for me....multiple that by 100 for poor Kevin.

Here are some various shots of the work force putting the collaboration together. It was like an assembly line....though most of us were so busy that not too many pics were taken.

Andrew Somers was also at Brickworld. For those who don't remember, we were on the MOC Athalon team "The ABStards".....ya know....the winners! He's an excellent builder, and definitely going to soar to the top. Check out that ice! My favorite part!

We put together a MOCpages group photo. To be honest I can't remember everyone's name so please don't take it a personal, but I will give it a shot starting clockwise from left to right. Me, Kevin Walter, Tyler Halliwell, George Kemper, Lee Jones, Chris Phipson, Nannan, Abe, Andrew Somers, Leda Kat, Dave Kaleta, Dennis Price, Anthony Dunne, Shannon Ocean.

The unofficial MOCpages dinner. Kevin lookin' thrilled, Leda, and Kaleta.

Catching Dennis at an inopportune moment.

Great shots! As far as the dinner, looks to me like everyone was pretty hungry, gearing up for a night of binge drinking--Awesome!

I seem to remember having fun at that dinner... why do we all look so miserable?! Ah yes... cameras, evil contraptions they are.

Lee, I thought the Aftershock I gave you was the paint thinner...or was that more like extra-strength cough syrup? ;-) Great pics Heath!

Quoting Steef de Prouw Cool report. It's a shame everything came in so wrecked, but it looks like you all had a certain amount of teamwork fun putting it all back together. Oh, and plenty of alcohol?...one bottle of Jameson and a couple of beers? What, per person? ;)
That's 1.75 liters my friend! Plus two growlers of Ram beer. 64 oz each. That was only what we had on hand.....there was plenty to be found and shared if you knew the right people. Unfortunately Mr. Walter had to stay sober most of the time while he re-built, but we smashed it a couple of nights! One of us carrying that bottle of Jameson around with us was a familiar sight.

At least you were boldly enough to take some closeup shots. Most BW photos I have seen so far are always taken from distance. Thank you.
