Hms Surprise WIP
Just realised that I started working on this model more than 4 months ago! And since I really enjoy looking at mocs in progress (thatīs the best way of learning how itīs done) on the pages I decided to upload some pics. As you can see it is far from done, but im past the challenges of the hull, the bow section and much, much more. So I plan on finishing the model by the end of June. Thanks for all the kind comments on the Ontario model, it has kept up my faith in shipbuilding. Has been updated 27/6
About this creation

As with my HMS Ontario, this model is also made in sections and with interior.
More about that later on.

And yes thats a firemans helmet on the figurehead:) The real thing has some kind of greek helmet.

Three stages of hull construction.

One thing I still keep changing is the cannons if anyone can give a better cannon design I would be very grateful
They are from left to right 32 pdr carronade, 18 pdr carronade and 4 pdr chase gun (long gun)

Wow this is looking good. I really like the minifig on the front. I am not surprised (no pun intended) that this has taken you 4 months so far it looks like a very difficult build. Good luck.
