F-112B "Raven II" Stealth Interceptor
After a complete re-evaluation of Montrovia's state-of-the-art stealth interceptor, the F-112 "Raven", (and the deaths of several test pilots) it was determined that a re-design was in order. Despite early wind tunnel testing and computer modelling that indicated a top speed of mach 3.8 for the original design, the actual aircraft fell far short of that lofty goal. Instability at high speed and a stealth profile that was far less than anticipated, lead to a complete re-model of the existing airframe. The result is the F-112B "Raven II". This new aircraft hit all of the pre-production goals for the original. Weapons loads and performance are the same as what was published for the original aircraft. The Montrovian Airforce will start fielding the F-112B as soon as the first prototypes are completed. All existing orders for export aircraft will be converted to the "Raven II" profile.

Very nice jet. I really like the wing design. I agreed with Rabid a little tiling would give it a lil more sleek look none the less excellent it is an excellent build.

Nice job! I agree it's so much better than the original! I'll trade 450 pocket tanks and 700 Auto-Turrets for 250 Spartan AAs And 300 Raven IIs.

Quoting Matthew Sylvan You should use snot wings instead of using tiles.
You already did that Matthew, I didn't want to copy you!

Quoting Dreadnought o_o Cool jet. I love the shape of it. I like the nozzles but it would be better if they could tilt downwards like the one on my jet.
Thanks Dread! In theory they do, but I didn't model it. I get lazy in LDD! I can't remember if I've seen your jet or not. I'll go check it out.

Quoting Rabid Goldfish Nice job, but you ought consider using some tiling. it would make it look smoother and more stealth. ^Blub^
Tiling those flat angled pieces I used for the wings never looks right IMO. ;-)

I would need about 1000 auto-turrets

Quoting Ultramarine . Well, right off I think you'll find that the landing speeds of this bird are going to be in excess of 150 mph because of the rather steep sweep angle, which translates into very long runways and the necessity of parachutes; not to mention a fundamental inability to have this plane flown by trainees who can't handle high speeds. Also, you might have some trouble with pilot visibility, which could cost you like it did the MiG-21. However, it is very aesthetically pleasing, and a clean ship!
I'll update the description later, but it has thrust vectoring nozzles like a Harrier to slow it down. And it is an interceptor firing long range missiles from a distance not a dog fighter, more like a MiG-25 or MiG-31 than a MiG-21 and like those aircraft it has limited pilot visability but increased canopy strength needed for high speed flight. ;-)

I really like those small wings. The weaponry and engines are the same? Beacuse Tongoria considering to design a new and domestic stealth jet. In my opinion Superraven sounds even better than Raven II.
