About this creation

Official Name: Pilbug
Faction: The Grey
Serial Reference: VFX0001
Function: Mobile communications, scout
Description: The Pilbug, also known as a woodlouse, is the designation given to a class of alien mecha that fold up to change modes. As variform craft they specialise in operating in two or more distinct modes, often operating in different environments. In this case the Grey use the pilbug to scout out potential colony worlds, they can be dropped from obit in their folded up delivery mode, they then unfold into their six legged scouting mode, before reconfiguring into an alien communications array to transmit data back to the Grey home world or colony fleet.
Additional: Earth forces have never managed to capture one intact, so speculation that they are automated or cybernetic in nature persists. They normally self destruct rather than have their data stolen by others. They can defend themselves, but prefer stealth or speed to avoid contact with potential hostiles.

Very interesting design. I like how well it fits the modes for which you built it. ^Blub^
