Battle erupts in Egypt, but the first Pennsylvanian prevails!
About this creation
It was said that Crimson Freedom had a base being actively set up in the Egyptian desert, and the 1st Pennsylvanian was sent to investigate. The enemy forces were more powerful then expected, being equipped with a small power armor, and a fully equipped battle suit stolen a few days ago. Luckily we were well equipped to handle the foe, and were able to route them before losses were felt on our side, since their force was, after all, relatively small.
Fourth wall commentary time: Forgive the graininess of the pics, for some reason moc pages really hates my new camera, hah! All in all I'm pleased with how this little build turned out, I think it conveys a sense of action pretty well! Hope you all enjoy it, and long live Metal Legion!

Well done, Commander Savage! The mechs and the hardsuit are well designed. To me, the biggest challenge in mechs is how to make them look like well-refined war machines and not comical robots. Well, I'm better at building comical robots intentionally, but that's not my point. I like how you conveyed the motion, the speed, the havoc and the disorder of war through the running soldiers. A close-up of one of these would have been great. A general word of advice: when you upload the pictures to MOCpages, choose "Large" so we won't have to click anything.
thanks for the tip, I'm glad you like everything else! truth is, I can;t find the large option, and every picture is so big they just shrink it to nothing....truthfully it is kinda ticking me off, hah! |

An excellent battle and gratuitous win for the Legion! Like the fountain, too!
Yup, gratuity is best in war, I'd rather to much force then not enough! Also, I'm glad you like the fountain, it came out quite well:D |

Commander Savage. Yes, the pics are a bit dim. But the order of the day (in this special case) was speed of production! So what your MOC lacks in lighting, it makes up for in speed.
Egypt? The 1st Pennsylvania? Exotic. What will the Egyptians think? I figured you would nail these jokers in your home state, but right on man. Hit them where you find them! In the future, I would give the Crimsonites their trade mark blood soaked sleeves before blasting them to Anubis! I like the fountain by the way. Make sure you scrape the red paint off of our MEC foot before coming home. Such a mess.
Metal Commanders. We are starting strong. The past 24 hours have seen a massive deployment of Metal Garrison and Militia forces to Contact Alpha One. But don’t buy into what is essencialy a strong first half. Comebacks are always a crowd pleaser. While this initial domination of the battle field is commendible, I am beginning to notice that the only Commanders who are leaving reviews are the ones actually involved in the fight. MLRC has nearly 80 members. Where are your colleagues? I am counting close to 20 ML Commanders on Contact Alpha One. We should be leaving that many yellow heads on each ML MOC in the fight! I'm telling you, don't dismiss the blood gorged power of CrimDeus! He will not turn his back on this battle (though maybe he should). He will hit the field like a neutron bomb and capture a lot of heads with just one good MOC (and if he does two?). Get the word out to the rest of the Metal Legion (Post over on the home page and on the GLA home page as well). We will need the yellow heads before this is over.
I quite agree sir, getting the blood....err...paint off will indeed be messy, and also my second deployment will hopefully be ready in time to strike fast! Also let's hope we hit hard enough that a comeback is not an option.

Love the sense of action, particularly with the mechs. Getting them to run away in fear and using them as target practice is also commendable for the members of 1st Pennsylvania. The carnage on the battlefield is worthy of the Metal Legion. |

What an action-packed diorama. When I heard about the war I've got the same idea to build a mech. Long live the Metal Legion!
