Now I understand why I didn't find a lot of people who have tried to build this unit... It has some really insane shape!! This has been a really, really, hard build for my weird skill in "real" model, so hard that I couldn't build it entirely... but, all the same I post it, because it's starting to bore me x)... I think I overestimated my building skill.
About this creation
A little bit of history on this model first, The Destiny Gundam is an unit appearing in the Gundam Seed Destiny Anime. It' a really multi-purpose unit, which could easily ensure close fighting and long range fighting. The concetp of this MS is to gather all the Stike Gundam packs into one unit. That's why we could find a big anti ship sword, a long range High energy Beam Cannon, and a wings system. This wing system, called "Wings of light", allow very high speed movements when there are full activated. The unit is also equiped with two Beam boomerangs, and two palm beam cannon, mounted on each hand. To finish the Destiny use an Hyper Deuterion Reactor, and has a Neutron Jammer Canceller. The Pilot is Shinn Asuka.
Before anything else, I have some things to tell about this build :
- This model does not have Anti Sword, I should admit that I just can't build the sword, I try several designs but no way, It's ugly and too far away the original model. I'm not ashamed to admit this, because it's reality :P.
- I try to catch as much details as I can, I miss a lot, but there are some things that lego doesn't allow unfortunately...
-I think that I succeed to catch the body/Shield/Rifle/Backpack like I wanted to, but the wings, no way xD. But it looks to , and I suppose that is the essential...
-It's my second build using LDD.
-The frame used on this model is Mithryl Dlarix frame, a little bit modificated, of course. You can find it here : http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/273999. Check his stuff, by the same occasion!
Now enjoy, and sorry if I made you read all this text :P

Ok here it's, Please, rate and comment, I really need your feedback and helpful advices, thanks in advance.
To finish : due to Holyday/Travel/not a home I should ( and I need to) take a break in
building, When I will come back (one month and a half I think) I want to keep building
"real" model, to get more skill and could build my home design ones next. For my future builds I was thinking to the Mobius Zero, to change a bit :P. But if you have idea for me, it's welcome.

So....how is your new version Destiny Gundam going? Can't wait to see it finish...
Hello man, sorry for the late (extremely late) answer. I hope you didn't think I was dead ahah.
Well the new version of this thing is on the way. The lower part ( feets and legs) are almost finish. This, with the sword, are the principal subjects of the new version, maybe that's why it takes sometimes to complete. Thank you for asking, it's really nice, and I apologize if I didn't comment on your latest lego creations, you and the others. I hope could do it this week. |

Since I didn't mention it on my home page, your question is totally justified. Btw I'm a boy :).
It's good to see some new mechs lover builders. |
|
|
alright, I'll look into it. :) most of what I know about Mechs comes from Exo-Force, Star Wars, Bionicle, and what I've seen made by Chunk and Bio. I'm still kinda new to the Mech thing. :P by the way, and I really hope this question doesn't come back to haunt me, but are you a boy or a girl? |

awesome Mech! it's a little blocky, but I'm gonna guess that was intentional. just curious, what is this Gundam thing I'm suddenly hearing a bunch about? anyway, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the nice comment. You are right, this thing is a bit blocky, I'm working on a new improved version with more shapes. If I well understand you (I apologize if I don't), you've never heard about Gundam Anime serie. It's something very (very) well known in the mech and science ficton anime world. I advice you to check what is it precisely using google, and then if you're interested, look at some anime, I'm sure you will find it awesome. :) (and if you really want more information, jusk ask me or another gundam builder ;) )

You succeeded in building the sword? I'm very glad you managed to do it. I was myself thinking on this since some time, and I think that I found how to do it. Btw I'm very curious to know how you built it. I have to change a lot of things on this gundam, and if you propose me the sword, I don't know when, but I will happily add it (or a modificated one) to the improved version. Thanks for your kindness and your proposition. |

I really don't care about the credit, man. I'm just glad to help.
Even if I had understand that you don't really care about this, because you really like to help people, it's just a matter of principles man ;)

Ok first, guys, a really big thanks for commenting. I'm really happy you love it, because I should admit that I tried to surpass myself. Mithryl, I realize that I forgot to give you the entire credit for the frame ( even if I modificated it a little bit but that doesn't matter), so I'm sorry, and I will fix this just after this post.
About the impulse, it's really a great idea, I will keep it in mind, thanks! |

I think what is most impressive about this, is that you have managed, not only to replicate the strange shapes that are to be found on this Gundam, but you have also managed to duplicate many of the gimmicks themselves, which is no easy feat in LDD. I'm really blown away by this one, because it was one of those models that I thought was probably impossible, in real lego or LDD. But you, sir have proven me wrong on that. Great work on this--you got it all kinds of right! |

Holy.... That's awesome!! Accuracy and detail is excellent on this one! The head is totally recognizable, the colors are spot on. Even tough you're using Mithryl's frame, this is outstanding. I think you should try to build the Impulse with all it's variants or if you want to try something harder, go for the Hi-Nu. Well done! |
