Truck 1 is a 2002 Seagrave Marauder with a 95' Aerialscope tower. Purchased used in 2011, it was sent to Seagrave for a minor refurb. The only things that were changed were the lightbars, rooftop box, paint, and lettering. Seagrave also placed their logo on the cab. The new lightbars are Federal Signal mini JetSolaris, like those used on the FDNY's new Seagraves. The siren is a Federal Signal Q2B.
The cab is a Seagrave Marauder 6-man cab. The truck features an FDNY-style body configuration and storage underneath the boom. The rear lighting consists of turn signals, emergency lights, rotators, and an ArrowStik. The Aerialscope boom features a pre-piped waterway and a bucket monitor that flows 1500 GPM. Truck 1 carries basic Truck Co. equipment, as well as some specialized equipment and a stokes basket. Truck 1 runs out of Station 1 with Engine 1 and Squad 1. The name comes from my mind.
Finally, the city has an aerial! It has always been my dream to have a Seagrave Aerialscope in my fleet, and it was the reason WRF/R was created in the first place. A little over a month ago, I set off with the goal of building the most detailed Aerialscope to date. I'm not positive, but I think this is the first with a waterway. I spent a long time studying photos of Aerialscopes and their details, which I tried to put into the truck. Details like the behind-cab cabinets, rear stabilizers, and raised rear were just a few of many. I am very proud of it, and it will serve for many years. Let me know what you guys think!
