A certain incompetent padawan, Zayne Carrick, dashed into his friends’ knighting ceremony only to find them lying dead at their masters’ feet. A chase ensuing, Zayne barreled through the skylanes of Taris’s city, pursued by four murderous masters. To complicate matters, Zayne had a known conman in the speeder next to him.
I was sure I couldn’t build this craft; it’s as smooth as a Naboo royal starship and too small to use the techniques I might have for one of those. Futthermore, the craft has no official title and appears in only four panels of Knights of the Old Republic Volume 1: Commencement. In contrast to Zayne’s speeder , very little action occurs on it.
So, why did I build this red blunder? Well, it had been months since I built an actual vehicle (I was only doing minifigures for a while). I was getting antsy. After browsing through the new Lego magazine one morning, I found myself possessed by compulsive builders syndrome. While my attempt to re-invent the pit droid failed, my second binge build is now before you. (It was the only EU reference I had at the time.)
A very poor set of stand-ins for the masters. Too bad I’m too cheap to buy the new Shaak Ti figure.
