A T-65 X-Wing Fighter from Star Wars, made famous by being Luke Skywalker's fighter.
About this creation
This is the Rebel Alliance T-65 X-Wing Fighter, well known by fans for it's being piloted by Luke Skywalker. I owe heaps of credit to Bruce Lowell, know as "Brucey Wan," for including instructions for his excellent model on his site. Click here to see it! I used his instructions for much of the fuselage, but used an entirely different way to attach the nose cone, different wings, lousy guns and exhaust stems, and a few other mods, mostly due to lack of the right pieces, though as far as I can tell, my nose cone is sturdier. Also mine's gray. I am a firm believer in gray X-Wings. In my opinion, A-Wings, Y-Wings, and the Tantive IV are white, while Snowspeeders look fine either way and screenshots can be found of them in either color. Everything else in the trilogy is gray. But I digress. The model includes front landing gear, and in the back rests on the engines. The droid socket holds the full droid, something that a few otherwise good models don't include. The cockpit doesn't hold as much detail as I would like, namely I have been unsuccessful in building a good-looking targeting computer. Maybe someday I'll build more of a "Brucey-Wan" interior...anyway, I'll quit the gab and show you the thing!

A very interesting build of a classic ship. I tried my hand at it too. Take a look if you will. Incidentally I used the same engine nacelle idea as you did. I guess great minds think alike? |

nice moc. i like how u inverted the boottom wings for studs up and down. and i like how u put the front gear IN THE FRONT unlike legos where it is in the middle. check out mine if u get a chance |
