Frank's Van and Dinosaurs
WARNING! Proud father alert. This is my 4 yr old son's first creation on Mocpages. It is all his own work. The only bit i helped with was the rear door. I also suggested to him that it needed a detailed interior and steering. So he put a few spare wheels and a steering wheel in the back! I am assuming it is rear wheel drive (that is what you call a very bad 'dad joke')!! Frank wanted to say this about his creations: I love my creations, do you?

Wow, him being 4 yrs old, that is an amazing van! I could actually tell it was a van when I saw it! (Unlike other creations by 4 year-olds :) )

Very nice van and dinos! I would like to see Frank do some more MOCs! Because with only two MOCs from him, some people would like to see more from him. Not being mean or anything though, otherwise I'd get banned.:(. But pass this on to Frank for me thanks Joe! 5/5!

Great for a 4 year old. When I was 4 I just made sets, not MOCs. Very cool, he shows potential.

People use the word indoctrination like it's a bad thing, but start 'em early I say! =P He definitely shows promise; when kids that age get around my bricks, they'd rather play with the minifigs than build anything. The Force is most strong in this one...~H

Hi Lego Builders, thanks for the compliment, it means a lot coming from such a good builder like yourself !! I guess I have just been lucky enough to get a few of my mocs on the homepage. I think that gave me a lot of exposure. I also comment on other creations (a lot) ;) and add a lot of favourites. Can't wait to see your new mocs.

I just noticed that most (if not all) of your MOCs have 20+ likes, and I'm wondering how you get so many. Sure, you're a better builder than me, so I was wondering how you get so many followers in such a short time. Oh, and if you ever see any of my MOCs get blogged, can you notify me? Thanks. Just to let you know, I've got 4 more MOCs waiting to get posted. So get ready... :)

This is awesomesauce! I know I couldn't build that well when I was four! Good job not sashing all the bricks together like a bowl of froot loops, well I'll just say you did great color cordinating. You did great and keep it up!

very nice like how the colour coordinates in stripes along the sides. most 4 year olds models are a mishmash of colour.

Quoting Manthan Dutta Nice, why do te dino bricks have holes in the studs?
It's Duplo :) - made by Lego for kids under 5 years. Very basic but a great stepping stone to Lego (which of course is for big kids like me)

It's nice to see your son starting to build with LEGO's at a young age, it's the same age as when I started building(but not on MOCpages). Excellent work on the van!

I think we have a new lego talent here, tell you're son that he did an amazing job and that he should keep building ;)

Right on Frank...if you keep building and practicing, LEGO will take you to all kinds of places. Stay inquisitive, keep trying new combinations, keep asking questions of your dad and stay positive! What will you build next?

Thank you all so much. I will try and return your comments but mocpages is running a bit slow today and I need to put the kids to bed! If there are any other father and son combos out there then why not join the new group I have created for these mocs.

This is so adorable! I'm very happy to see that your son is evolving a passion of LEGO :) I'm sure you must be very proud. (I can't wait to have a child, and introduce them to LEGO too!!) I agree, the steady introduction of new techniques is a great way of improving your son's abilities. I can't wait to see what masterpieces he produces in years to come. Keep up the great work MortalSwordsman Junior ;)

Quoting Thomas Beyl Great job! love the color choice and the use of special painted bricks. The headlights and stars are very cool. The best part is you made it all by yourself. Thats awesome! Dad you should copy his cool design and change just one element to introduce a new building technic (maybe two sloped bricks in the front)That way you have a cool car and he can see new ways of doing things.
Hahaha I tried to pursued him to do exactly that but he didn't want to. He knows what he wants :). I have created a new group for this sort of creation. I have sent you an invite. To everyone - Thanks so much, your comments are making him (and me) very happy :D

Not gonna rate this as the rating system doesn't really work for stuff like this, but I will say 'I like it'! I wish I built like this when I was 4 - pretty sure all my creations looked like nothing in particular, but this van is great! Well done Frank : )
