Here's my first real MOC with my own real Lego, not my son's Duplo or LDD!
About this creation
A rather rudimentary fork lift truck from Creator set 5765, one of four sets received today for my (cough 41st cough) birthday. This being my first hands-on of 'grown up' Lego for some twenty odd years, it took me quite a while to get back into it and there are so many new pieces to get used to.
Limited detail on this apparently electrically powered FLT ;-) and there were far more pieces from the set left unused on the carpet than went into this!
Anyhow, I hope you like it and I hope to improve over time. Got to learn this building sideways stuff...
What a nice little alternate you have created here, especially for a first timer after such a long time! We are never too old to build with LEGO. So welcome back and a belated Happy Birthday! I like your solution for the steering wheel, and the hazard lights are a nice detail too. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
Hey there, and a Happy Birthday to you! Welcome back from your LEGO 'dark ages'! After such a long break, you are right, there are many new pieces. I like the way you integrated two different sized wheels in your model. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the near future. Thanks for sharing!
Haha. I have just started building again after a 15 year break. All triggered off by my kids playing with duplo and now Lego. 'Building sideways stuff' very funny. I have a lot to learn too. This is a great little moc very accurate. I love the money shot - again very funny. There is a group for creator set alternatives run by nathanael kuipers. I'm sure you would be welcome to join. I've got a few creations in it too. Happy birthday ;)
