At least the first I've seen. Those that have ever seen a real chessboard will understand what I mean, but not how I mean it. It would definetely be better with the alphabet set but alas, I have none. To move, select horizontal colour first and vertical second.

I dread the days when Dad asks me for a game of chess. But never mind that. This has come out really well. Nice techniques used to make the pieces. |

It is far easier to recognize openings, checks and mates with numbers and letters, and you can even play it with blind people then! Again, that chess wouldn't fit in MY pocket. |

And again, one can't hold figures, one is too thick, and none has any letters and numbers. For wich I use colours.
Numbers and letters aren't essential in playing chess; I don't play with them.
This one: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/246264
can hold figures, it has 2 boards. |

functional
Then tell me where are the numbers and letters? And mine is so much thinner, that there really isn't much competition between their practicality(?). |

Nice, do the pawns' lower studs break off sometimes or do they move intact?
I've had a crowbar with me at sea, but never had to use it. |
