Update! The missing parts came in and while I was at it I made the wings larger. The last picture shows the three blade variant which is closer to the original ice dragon, and is more functional since the larger wings are a bit heavy.
I labled this project as a CM Collaborative Moc because both of us were involved in the design and build. I decided a couple weeks ago I wanted to remake the ninjago Ice dragon using different colors, a new head and some other tweaks. The goal was to buy all the pieces on bricklink and have my son build it himself using mainly the ninjago instructions, and some guidance from me. I built the head but the rest of this model was built by him. I was unsure what color cones and horns I wanted on the wings so I bought two sets of horns and cones. My son of course made the decisive descision to use them all. So the back spikes are his creative inspiration. Unfortunately,I made an error when ordering and am short 4 black rotor blades for the wings. we improvised and used regular 2 width plates to get the job done. I have since ordered the mising 4 blades to complete the model. He and I could not be happier with the results and I am really proud of how well he is learning to follow instructions as well as make personal adjustments. hopefully we will have the last parts by Saturday.
I love this father son hobby:)
