The challenge is the best part dismantling, counting, colour sorting and element sorting takes time and not inspiring. Building the next huge model is. Cheers for now.

Now i looked just at another BSG Model, from you, after i regained my breath. This elegant use of prismatic angles and the briliant surface design are very inspiring. The connentor-arms and the engines are great. Waiting for bricks, makes it always a long time, till such a big project is finished. But you can be very proud of your Defernder!

Thank you Peter. You ask a very good question. I don't sketch anything on paper. I get all the images from the net that are available as a guide. As a BSG fan I also have many commercial models on hand to also use as a guide. Since the bricks have their so do I. I like a challenge. Some models take up to a month to construct and others two or three. Waiting for parts makes it take longer but is worth the wait as I try to solve a design problem. As I build the Valkyrie it poses so many new challenges and with it being 2.7m long. Thanks for the question. Cheers Peter

60 pounds?!?! That's a lot of LEGO, and a very impressive engineering feat. Most people don't realize the challenges involved in building something so large and heavy. It's got an interesting shape, and the greebling seems thoughtful and tastefully done, not over the top. A true inspiration for all SHIP builders.

Man, I'm floored with all of this detail :-) No seriously, this is really an impressive piece of work. Amazing lines and true-to-life styling. I also love your approach to the greebling here. A lot of SHIPs I've come across simply have tubes and grills and cylinders tossed all over the place all willy-nilly. You've really shown what proper greebling can do for a model with your streamlined and orderly features here. Well done!

Wonderful presentation, awesome ship. It would be nice to get a closer look at some of the details.

Very nice. This creation may well have inspired me to pursue a BSG project next... I agree it would be great to see some closer shots, as well as some photos with plainer backgrounds.

Great build Garry! You've managed to deal with a lot of headbreaking angles. Good idea to enlight the landingbay, it's the only way to show the tiles and contruction inside, very nice. Again the concept is proven, to use technic as a frame work. Thanks for sharing.
